OWS protesters should be in Washington DC

The news today included a note that Fannie Mae and Freddy Mac top people are getting multi million dollar bonus even though they owe the taxpayers hundreds of Billions in loans. The banks have paid back the government for the TARP money and in some cases they had to put pressure on the government to take the money. In some cases the government made money when they sold the stock they took as payment for the bail out money. In some cases they banks had no choice but take the money from the government or face an army of auditors and government examiners. When the President made a big deal about the bankers and Wall Street people getting bonus he was very quiet on the Bonus paid to the Fannie and Freddy exec. These people oversaw the buying of billions in bad paper just to increase the book value and earn the bonus. These two have not paid back the government but continue to ask for more money. Why don't the OWS show up ther to protest or is that OK because these are government funded organizations?

Actually, the OWS movment IS going to DC. The nurses union and others are marching on the Treasury to institute a financial transaction tax. It was once favored by Obama and is being looked into by conservatives in other countries (eg David Cameron, angela Merkle and the guy in France whose last name I don't want to attempt spelling. The argument was once that the Occupy movement was too vague, now it's tightening up and getting specific. It's now a global movement and I think, in other countries at least, it might be able to initiate change. Trouble is that the US is so damn polarized that some will see even good points as Leftist and unacceptable. As for Freddie and Fannie, you already have the Tea Party and other conservatives on their case. Does the fact that OWS is starting to find it's own targets make it a useless movement? I doubt that any one movement has a magic wand to wave that will totally change the world. If you feel so strongly that the problems are all centered with Fredd and Fannie, why not get the conservatives together and take to the streets.

If it's getting more specific than why is it attacking and vandalizing Whole Foods and Comcast? Neither of them had anything to do with the bailouts, the foreclosure crisis, or the recession.

Most of these people are too stupid to know what they're protesting. Somehow Whole Foods and Comcast are the big bad now and it's part of the mission to terrorize them and their customers. Call me crazy, but I missed the part where either of those companies became banks and got bailouts. I should also point out that these people are too stupid to protest the politicians who voted for those bailouts because the majority were democrats including Biden, Obama, and Clinton.

Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae aren't part of their selective outrage.
