My mother was just this past weekend. This weekend, my mother and I went to the local KFC to get some food to go. I waited in the car and as I waited, a group of young guys came into the parking lot and waited outside near the entrance. Truthfully, I don't know what it was but something about them gave me an uncomfortable feeling. But I passed it off and it turns out I should have listened to my gut instinct. As my mother came out, she said hi to them and then all of a sudden one of the guys tried grabbing my mother's purse. I began getting out of the car at the same time she tell for me to call the police. It was then the cowardly people took off in every direction. The crazy thing is, the following morning, I heard on my police scanner that another woman in a grocery store parking lot had her purse stolen by two males just down the highway a few stores. Considering the time frames and similarities between what happened (she was attacked just coming out of the store too) and description of the men from what I heard, I have the suspicion it was the same people, or at least two of the same but I can't know for certain. Fortunately the police caught them regardless. So my question to you is have you or anyone you know ever been the victim of a crime too?

Thankfully, I've never been the victim of a crime. Nor do I really know anyone who's been the victim of one either. It's not something that I really wish on anyone. I hope that I don't find myself in this sort of situation. Nor do I hope that anyone I know finds themselves in this situation. It's not the situation I wish on anyone.

When I was 13 years old, I was a victim of a crime. We are from an all-girls school. That day, we were the last few students entering the school because the bell was going to ring any time then. There were about four of us. We saw a man sitting on the one of the short steps that we have to climb. It was not very obvious, but he was actually flashing his "you know what" at us. He was trying to cover his face at the same time, so we would not or could not recognise him. Anyway, only myself and another friend noticed the incident. The other two girls did not notice. We reported the incident to the teacher and she called the police. We gave the description and he was caught in the vicinity. Later on, we had to verify whether it was the flasher and made police report at the station, so that the police can prosecute him.

Yes, my mom's bag was stolen too, it was snatched from her shoulder by guys in a motorcycle. She was alone when it happened. Fortunately, her money is not in her bag but in her pocket so the only thins lost are the bag, her umbrella and a few pens. That was two months ago. We got over it now.

i remembered an incidents that happen to me two years ago. i was driving back home and it was late at nite, somewhere around 3-4 a.m because i finish work late on that day. as i was coming close to my house, i really didnt suspect anything. so i went out from my car to open the gate to my house. i was so shocked wen i return back to the car i saw a black figured at the back of my car and i was screaming because i tot i saw a ghost, which turn out to be a man wearing a helmet who try to steal stuff from backside of the car. As soon he hear me scream, he ran away and he had his friend with a motorcycle waiting for him near exit road. Thank god he didnt manage to grab the bag from my backside because i have all my lap top, camera and other valuable stuff in that bag. But he managed to ran away with my handbag that i put at my passenger seat. But there was nothing much inside that bag except for my make up bag. i was very traumatized due to that incident, so until now i never forget to watch out on my back mirror everytime im driving late at night.

I've had my purse stolen before, but it was because I left it. In fact I left it in my highschool cafeteria. Most people would think it was just some kid, but it wasn't. In fact it was a cafeteria lady, she came by the area looked around and picked it up. It was all caught on a camera I just happen to sit near during lunch, unfortunately I never did get my purse back. Instead I got a check for the contents and she was fired. Can you imagine it? A woman stealing a young teenagers purse? Its not like I had a lot she could use in it, just about 5 dollars, the big item was my prescription sunglasses. I didn't even have a cellphone, I don't know why she didn't just bring it back. After all they had the proof it wasn't like she could talk her way out of it.

Unfortunately in the neighborhood that I was raised violent crime was out of control so far too many of the people I know have been victims of crime including myself. I have known far too many young people murdered and raped. People who have been robbed and car jacked, I even knew a young girl who was abducted and raped when I was a kid. Luckily through hard work I have escaped this environment and now raise my family in a much safer neighborhood but those are experiences I will never forget and will forever shape the way I interact with people
