On October 20, that is more like 3 weeks ago, I got a message from T - mobile and telling me that from now on, I can access internet even though I didn't participate any data plan, and charge it according to the data amount I used. I simply ignore it. On next day, it tells me that my data usage already exceed $10. I worried, and call up my cousin whom I share a family plan with. First he thought that I overuse the text message, later, that was like after 2 weeks, he checked there was some weird activities on the data usage, every 5 minutes I access the internet. He inquired it to T- mobile, the representative simply told him that nothing he can do about it. Also, we can't deactivate the internet, the only option we can have either restrict it to third party use, or sign up one of their data plan. I felt like that is like a trap. We don't want any internet access, and somehow, I got those internet service going on on my phone, probably they update those apps. Now, I switch my blackberry phone to a simple phone without any apps in it. I just afraid how much they will charge since more than 2 weeks already passed.

Well... If it makes you feel any better, t-mobile isn't the only one who lies... When I had a cell phone through Verizon, my bill was higher than I expected one month... I called them & they told me I went over my minutes... I asked the rep 4 times, "are you sure?". And he got really smart with me & said, "yeah... I'm looking right at your bill... I did graduate from college, you know...!!!". So I said, "I don't know which college you went to but either their math department or English department must be sub-standard... Because if you read my bill correctly, I have UNLIMITED calling plan... You know what that means? That means I can call somebody at 3 in the afternoon today & stay on the phone for next 17 days & I still wouldn't get charged any overages for it...". There was nothing on the other side of the phone for about 20 seconds then he hung up the phone on me... I called back & asked the first person who answered the phone for a manager... Make a long story short, I got my bill adjusted & for the following 3 month, I only had to pay 1/2 of my bill... Sometimes you have to be persistent...
