Dead Famous People You Miss

United States

This is my first MyLot discussion, so I hope I'm following all the rules and am opening this discussion up for a good chat! Basically, who are people that have died (or passed away if you prefer a gentler approach) that you miss and why. I didn't really intend for this to be like "I really miss my father" not because I don't want you to miss your father, but rather just because I'm more curious about famous people I guess. I don't know! Haha The one that I miss the most right now is probably George Carlin. He had a really interesting life and was a great comedian. His commentary on social issues and religion always intrigued me.

I don`t miss any famous person and i`m sure when i will die none of them will miss me either.i can understand if someone misses famous people like Jesus,Nietzsche or Aristotle but come on Michael Jackson ? I think people should find real models for their lives instead of these fake superstars invented by media.Probably John Lennon is a good example for a real model if you want to pick a singer.

It shocked me to read the responses you got in your post. It seems that, in this society, humanities and science are not valued at all. Although everyone wants a cure for diseases, noone is interested about the advances in medicine nor in the scientists who made that possible. In the US there are names such as Franklin and Edison. And if you want women, cemember Marie Curie or Mother Theresa to name famous people nearer us. I´m sad
