It seems none of my friends are interested in race horses, but I still have to bring this one up. Australia's great sprinting mare, Black Caviar, has just won her 16th race in 16 starts. Other than a Hungarian horse in the 1870's, which I will maintain doesn't count, there are only 3 horses in history who had more unbeaten starts, and I doubt that any of them had a TimeForm rating of 135, which makes her currently the second highest rated horse in the world.
Today took her winnings over the $4 million mark, and it is believed she will take on the best in the world later in her career, in Britan and Europe and probably the Far East, possibly go to the US for the Breeders Stakes racing. Speaking of which, another Australian favourite, So You Think, twice winner of the Cox Plate, which is arguably the best 10f WFA race in the world, and now owned and trained in Ireland, is about to take on the Breeders Cup Classic. His rating is currently 133, putting 2 Australian horses in the top 5 in the world.
Watching her has you shaking your head in disbelief. She has never been challenged in her career, beating the best horses in Australia by lengths untouched by whip or even hands. Phenomenal. 16.5 hands and 600 kgs of handsome black horse travelling at 40 miles an hour.

It was a fascinating race to watch. Seeing her pull ahead while still being held back by her jockey and then when he let her have her head she left them for dust. I wonder what she will do if she ever is challenged. She is a stunning horse, poetry in motion.
