Today is the 5th Nov. when we in Britain remember Guy Fawkes who tried to blow up the Parliament by exploding gunpowder in a cellar of the houses of the parliament building in London. He was caught and beaten and put on the rack before being hung drawn and quartered before he could actually commit the act. Many people wish he had succeeded when we are in periods of difficulty like now.
