Real Madrid crushed Osasuna 7-1 to go to the top of La Liga 4 points clear of Barcelona, who have a game in hand. The win was set up a hat trick from Christiano Ronaldo and a brace from Karim Benzema. The La Liga race is already a two horse race this early in the season. Cheers! Ram

I haven't seen the game, but I have to say I didn't expect such a high score here. I guess the red card had an influence on the outcome, and I mean the score difference. As for the two horse race, I guess everybody expected this to happen. BTW, at the moment of writing Bilbao is leading 1-0 against Barcelona.

Barcelona ended up drawing the match. And yes, it was known that it would be a two horse race. But, what is really surprising is the fact, that the Spanish Federation does not seem to worry too much about it!! Cheers! Ram

Till the Federation is getting a lot of money, they don't care about nothing. That is the same in every country of the world, so it is not a surprise for me. If the laws would be the same as in Germany, Real wouldn't have been able to spend 93 millions on a single player, and Barca couldn't have bought Cesc and Sanchez. I really hope that the Financial Fair Play rule will change this things and football will get back a bit to the roots, because there is definitely too much money wasted for nothing. Players at the age of 18 can be so rich, that they don't need to do anything else in their life anymore and still be able to live a "high life".

PS. I have seen the game between Bilbao and Barca and the conclusion is very simple: Tiki taka doesn't work in rain. The pitch was flooded with water, so it was really difficult to play so many passes on level ground.

You are right. La Liga is becoming more interesting to watch. Real Madrid playing so well and i have predicted the result before. But i dont ever think that the result will be so amazing like this. The best player is Christiano Ronaldo that makes hatrick and playing so well in this match. In other match, Barcelona only draw against Ath. Bilbao 2-2. Barcelona almost lose in this match. Luckily,Messi save Barcelona with his goal on 91'. really tight match. Cheers

With players like Ronaldo and Messi, these two clubs are way over the other clubs in terms of strength on paper. Occasionally other clubs do spring a surprise. But with so much gap in talent it is very difficult for these clubs to challenge these teams on a sustained manner. Cheers! Ram

@deliar: Teamwork is very important, but on long run the teams which have more talent and can form a team also will have the trophies on their side. Because we cannot say that Real and Barcelona lack of team spirit, because this is not true. And the quality of the players of these two giants is very high, so it is impossible for another team to win the Spanish competition. The draw from Bilbao was influenced a lot by the rain, the pitch was full of water and the tiki taka cannot be played on that kind of pitch. On normal ground, the game would have gone in the favor of Barcelona. I have seen the game and Barcelona was the dominant team.

La Liga - this is one of the biggest football competition in this world.
La Liga also have some incredible players.
and it is really interesting to see La Liga.
La Liga have a good management also.
so i think we will not disappointed if we watch La Liga.
cheers
i think, the most important is the teamwork. we can see in EPL, like newcastle, they have prove it, with teamwork they can make incredible movement. maybe in La Liga, something gonna happen like that. we can see, Barcelona have to struggle so hard just to get draw result in match with Athletic Bilbao. i hope, La Liga is not under domination of Real Madrid and Barcelona only. i hope another club can do something amazing and make a miracle.

It is always the case in La Liga, Barcelona or Real Madrid with the occasional appearance of Valencia to act as a guest appearance. With the attacking lineup of Ronaldo, Benzema and Higuain, they have a stronger striker force than Barcelona. The thing that makes Barcelona different is their midfielders and a certain Lionel Messi.

Yes, it has been a two horse race for most of seasons in La Liga. I am actually disappointed with Athletico Madrid which seemed to be shaping up well 3 years back. But seems to have fallen back. Cheers! Ram

Nice result from Real Madrid, I hope Real Madrid will always hold standings on number 1 because this year I think it's time for Real Madrid to be champion of La Liga

With Barcelona slipping, Real Madrid has improved it's hold on the top spot. But the season still has a long way to go. It would be interesting to see how the rest of the season goes from here. Cheers! Ram

Well, again it was amazing performance by Mourinho's squad. Even Osasuna played with ten man but they have lead by three goals first.CR-7 becomes a man of the match after hattrick, two headers and one from penalty spot.Benzema was also playing well with two goals.Madrid has improved a lot compare than previous season. I think they deserve to be in top of the league, they have clear three points gap after Barcelona being held 1-1 in yesterday's match.Barca goaless record has broken, while Madrid maintaining their ten consecutive win performance. I think mourinho is really serious contender for Barcelona this season, he would grab his first LaLiga title this year. What do you think?

I just looked up CR 7's record at La Liga. He scores 1.2 goals per game!! That is 6 goals every 5 games. No wonder he is enjoying playing La Liga more than EPL. Cheers! Ram

Good for the clubs while it lasts, not for La Liga.. however their real test of strength and growth will be measured in Europe. And I say while it lasts because no club will be at the top forever. Barcelona or RM may fancy a European Champions League title now but Man City is coming up as quite strong title contenders. There's no point winning a non competitive La Liga and Kings cup if you can't compete strongly in Europe, and just like cricket in India, people will soon get bore watching onesided and predictable games

But, the fact is that both clubs do well in Europe as well. Currently Barca are the Champions League winners and have been the favorites for most of last 5 years. Before that Real Madrid was the favorites for nearly a decade!! Cheers! Ram

i don`t know how to said it..it`s not good.. spanish football federation must take part for solving "the problem".. why spanish league only race 2 teams and make another club like additional team....it`s not good.. and you can see the composition of spanish national team?? only from 2 clubs, real madrid and barcelona. sometimes there are another player outside from both of the team but it`s few.. like Marcos Senna, or Marchenna several years ago... or like Pepe Reina, Torres, David Silva...

Yes, it must really be difficult for players of the other clubs. I think the Spanish Football federation really needs to take a look at this. The problem for them would be if these two clubs suddenly lose some key players and lose their quality, the national team would suffer!! Cheers! Ram

it seems that other teams have a better chance for stopping barca than real madrid. four teams had stop barca from winning while only two teams can stop real madrid from winning. I hate to see that slowly Madrid is leaving barca in score points. i'm wonder if barca is already give their best or they hold something back for el clasico match.

It is no good for the future of Spanish football to have such a huge gap between the top 2 and the other 18 teams. Their FA is to blame for giving a free hand to the top 2 to manage their own TV rights and thus not giving a share of the bigger revenue to the other 18 smaller clubs to make them more competitive. When every league match the top 2 play is like a scoring contest between them, I think the other 18 teams will begin to play 8 defenders and any team to lose by just 2 goals will be considered a winner of sorts. Bonus will be given if they can stop Messi and Ronaldo from scoring. It is the way of modern age Spanish football.

Yes, it is not really great for the La Liga. I think with the TV rights and stuff the disparity can only increase. Unfortunately, there is really no attempt from Spanish FA to change the situation. Cheers! Ram
