And that time is when choosing between a dead loved one or a zombie loved one! Pet Sematary (1983 film based on Stephen King's book of the same title) tells the story of a family who just moved in to their new house and in front of their house is a path that leads to the Pet Sematary (misspelled word of cemetery) where dead pets are buried. Unknown to them, beyond the sematary is another burial ground where animals or people can come back to life when buried there. Louis, the father was a doctor in a university where he first encountered Pascow, a student who died from an accident. Pascow's ghost visited Louis in his dream and warned him of the burial ground beyond the pet sematary. Louis' daughter, Ellie has a cat, Church which she loves so much. Church got hit by a truck and died and their neighbor, Jud, brought Louis and the cat to the burial beyond and told Louis to bury it there. The next day, Church came back to life but with a different behavior, smelled like rotting and even attacked Louis. Gage, Louis' little son also got hit by a truck and died. Louis was so grief stricken (and he was probably insane by then) that he dug up Gage's corpse and buried it in the burial beyond. Gage came back to life but now a freakin' zombie who killed Jud and ate some of his flesh. Rachel, Louis' wife was also killed by Gage and this made Louis crazier. He killed Gage and buried Rachel in the burial beyond thinking that it will work properly with Rachel because she was freshly dead. Of course, it did not work but they shared a kiss (Rachel was bloody and zombie) before Rachel finally killed Louis. This was creepy enough for me although the title does not relate much to the story. I love the thought of a parent getting crazy over deaths of their loved ones and doing just about anything to be with their dead loved ones again. The actor who played Louis though, was not very effective and convincing, I actually had to assume myself that he was already insane when he dug up his son's body in the graveyard and buried it again in the burial beyond. He just really didn't look like he was mental, he did not even look heartbroken and grief-stricken. But I love the creepiness of Rachel's dead sister, Zelda who had spinal meningitis and looked already like a zombie even before she died. I think it would have been better if there was a separate zombie movie or book about her.

WOW! I love this movie!! haha Never mind if it's a little sadistic or disgusting, but that's what makes me excited! Actually i won't say that's some kind of horror movie because there's no actual ghost or spirit to talk about. Yet zombies in the movie is not really human like nor lifeless like some movies ^^ Where do u usually find those movies, secret? U seem to have unearthed a lot of them, more than what's buried in he burial ground.. haha

What? You mean, your horror movies should have a ghost or spirit before you can say it's a horror movie?

That was a freaky movie for sure! I have seen it a few times. Zelda did deserve her own movie for sure! I haven't read the book but I do know that the movies don't give the books justice. The books are often much more detailed and creepy.

I have not read the book, too. But I've read some of Stephen King's book and they are really amazing. Sometimes there are really stories that are best read instead of watched.
