Too tired from fake profiles?

I also hate posers, a lot! They tend to show a different individual online, one who is more of their ideal identity and I feel so sorry for them.

You are right, a fake profile is like cheating others. if a man fakes himself as a woman and tries to make women friends, its like prying into their privacy. The internet is filled with fake people and one day it will all collide and explode, let the innocent be spared.

It doesn't really deter me all that much. The Internet was built on fakery and deception. I think that there are many on the Internet while I think I can take them at face value, but I still step around with some degree of caution. Now, I do agree that a person with many different profiles adding you is irritating. However, it is irritating because it is irritating, not because it is something that is false. At least that is really how I look at it. I do wonder about the thought process of some of these people. That push them into making these profiles. I do in fact wonder. There are many reasons. It's one thing to create two different profiles, one for business type purposes and one for leisure type purposes, that you want to keep away from potential employers for obvious reasons. However, there are times where people create these profiles for more sinister purposes. Still it's rapidly getting to the point where I rarely bat an eyelash for someone being dishonest. It's just something that isn't that shocking. Welcome to the world in 2011.

Yes, i hate people with fake profiles as well, especially those with multiple profiles. I hate it more in facebook because there's no way we can verify who they really are. Therefore i'm restricting my adds to people i know personally. Other than that, even if they are friends of friends i saw in post, comments, i will not accept them. When it comes to mylot, it's worse. If the user has multiple accounts and they happen to add similar friends, while starting dozens of similar discussions between them, won't 'friends' of them be in trouble, and yet the imposters are earning as much as double or tripe.

I sometimes don't trust also any social friends on the net. But still accepts their friendship.

It always good to remain trueself. I don't change my profile alot and if I do, mostly I will only change my user name sometimes.
