Women can sleep better than men may it be night or day. Is it true?

I don't think either one sleeps better then the other. I think it really just depends on how that person is feeling, the kind of bed they have, and what my be going on in there life. My husband he sleeps better then me and yeah some nights I sleep better then he does. I'm always getting up in the middle of the night to get our 9 month old baby and she is gone this week so I don't have to get up in the middle of the night so I'm sleeping pretty darn good at night.

I think that doesn't depend on the gender..its more on the persons well being. Like if he/she is too tired, then definitely that person will sleep more.

okay. but it is men that has the responsibility to rise early and sleep late. staying awake late at night is even something some women wouldn't dare to try compared to men.

It is not only the men who rise early. In the world today, women work side by side with men. Even the housewives get up early and spend the whole day doing chores. Women would not dare staying awake at night? I wonder how you came up with that assumption. Today, men and women work as equally hard.

i think it is not about the gender of the person. I know a lot of women who suffered from insomia, and some men too. I guess it depends on the person if he/she thinks too much, if there is something that is bothering him or her... It can really affect one's sleep and its not about what their gender is.

Certain studies about this issue have been done, and most of the time it is indeed the women who proved to be able to sleep better. The reasons are all theoretical, but some say female hormones play a protective role to help young women sleep better. But of course, hormonal changes as they age will affect this. I have a friend who is 39 now and she says she sleeps considerably less. However, women are more likely to suffer from insomnia than men.

i agree that women will suffer from insomnia more. i am confident though that they can recover faster as well.

According to me women sleep better than men be it day or night. It is due to their physical making which needs more rest than men.

For me there is no difference but the men do a serious job and they are not tired of women that they are slightly less but their work is light whatever.

unfortunately, not all men have serious jobs and despite the lack of something tiring to do still suffer from insomnia when women have no trouble sleeping when not doing anything. i guess women will win in sleeping well on off-peak days. the one thing is that whether male or female if the stomach is full, there is no trouble sleeping at night
