For a while, I haven't written anyting on mylot. However, today, I thought it best to reflect on this subject. I feel I need a full break from writing. I feel my heart isn't in it right now and that I need to be focusing on other things. I have found it difficult in recent months to actually stay on target and choose topics to write about. Or even if I've been given an assignment, actually sticking to the assignment. Heck, I've been blowing off editor requests to repair assignments. Which to say for a writer, is not a good thing. Hopefully, I can get my head cleared enough and come back stronger and happier with my writing ability.

You have to follow what your heart and mind are telling you. I wonder if it's something in the air because you are not the only one feeling this way. Myself included. It's hard not to feel guilty, for me anyway. But, it's the right thing to do. Best of luck finding your way back.

Hi Joni, Thanks so much for the advise, I truly appreciate it. Hard to believe that I posted this about 4 months ago. I feel a lot better and am looking forward to slowly getting back into my writing. I actually have written two articles so far today and am working on a third. Didn't realize that I had it in me. HA!

Take a break and get very well rested, we all need ot have a rest sometimes and not do any writing. When you are well rested you will feel like writing again. Take care

I think all of us need a break sometimes. Whether it be a break from work, kids, or school sometimes we just need to take some time for ourselves to rejuvenate. You probably should take some time off and when you come back your work will probably see a great improvement and you will be motivated to do it and do it right. Especially since you have other things you feel you need to focus on I would definitely take the time if you can.

Thanks so much for your response. Its hard to believe that I went on break 4 months ago. Wow, what a difference it has made. I feel a lot better about my writing and am stepping up or at least attempting to in the writing world. I feel really good about it. :)
