If you like to read, you also consider having your favorite spot to read in, such as the bedroom, bathroom, or maybe in your backyard. My favorite spot to read in is my bedroom because it is quiet and I can read without being interrupted by anyone. Having a favorite spot to read in can relieve the stress after a hard day and it can calm the body too. I am sure that you might have a favorite reading spot, especially if you like to read in your spare time. To many of us reading in a favorite spot is very comforting because it gives us peace of mind and in some cases, some of us are interested in reading our favorite books when we want to. Lastly, A favorite reading spot can be something to charish as we get older because it may bring back lots of memories and it can be a relaxing spot to read in no matter where it may be. If you like books, keep reading because it enhances your well-being.

I love to read in the bedroom or in the terrace while seeing the trees and watching the birds.

That's one reason I like to sit outside and read (as long as the mosquitos aren't out). It's so peaceful reading while hearing birds chirping in the background and the rustling of the leaves on the trees! I've also been known to go outside and read while there is a thunderstorm ESPECIALLY if its storming in my book. Brings me up close and personal with the book.

That is what reading in a quiet spot is all about because peacefulness is the main thing to consider when reading in your favorite quiet spot.

Mine is in the sofa or bathroom :) Since I do not have a room of my own, I enjoy my reading during the night or if no one is in the house. I also see to it that I bring with me a handy book that I can read when I know that my travel time is going to take an hour or two.

Night time is the best time to read books because you don't hear as many sounds at night than you do during the daytime. I also read at night before going to bed because I like to wind down from a busy work day and reading helps me get a good night sleep too.

I have two spots that I really enjoy reading, and I tend to relax the most when I am able to read in them. The first spot is in my bedroom, lying in my bed with my lamp on. I tend to read there at night when I am getting ready to go to sleep. I seem to sleep much better when I am able to read for an hour or so before I go to sleep. My second favorite place to read is in the bathtub. I like to read while I soak in a nice hot bath and allow my muscles to relax. Reading seems to help my mind relax as well. Then, when I get out of the tub, I feel completely refreshed and relaxed.

I'm always scared that I'm going to drop my book in the water. I usually have my water pretty high in the tub. I think I'm going to try taking a nice hot bath and reading. I think I'll be super relaxed and I'm sure I'll love it!

I really don't have a perfectly quiet place to read, but I usually end up reading in a bubble bath (YUM, how relaxing!) or in my room, in my bed before I go to sleep. It would be cool if I lived in the country, in a rural area, where I could sit out by the tree on a picnic blanket and read there. Unfortunately I live in a city of 350,000+ so there is no quiet time for me outside.

I read at my kitchen table while I am eating. But, it is not very comfortable. If I want to spend more time on a story, I take it upstairs and sit in one of my soft chairs.

I love to read, and can literally read anywhere. My favorite spot to read would have to my bedroom or outside while the kids are at school and my husbands at work. It's just so peaceful and I can really get good and deep into my book. Reading for me, like you said, relieves stress.

It is very easy to find a quiet spot to read because you won't lose your concentration and you can enjoy your books at any time without being destracted.

When the weather is warm, I like sitting out in the garden, relax, and read favorite books and magazines. When the weather is a bit chilly, I would sit in my little library room in the house. I have a reading room where I stack up all the reading materials.

I love to read. For me I do most of my reading in my bedroom, because there are always lots of people at my house and it is the quietest place. Sometimes in the summer, I will walk to a local park and read under a tree. There are two parks within walking distance of my home: one is on the main street and really busy, the other is on a back street and is not very busy, so I go to the second one. One time while there reading, a deer came up near me.

I don't really have a favorite spot... I just sit anywhere & start reading...

I think that my favourite place to read in my house has to be in my bedroom. This is because there are no other distractions in there to keep me from concentrating completely on the book that I am trying to read at the time. I also like to read outside in the garden when the weather is warm, as I like to be able to listen to the birds whilst I am doing my reading. However, this is only an option in the summer, as my country gets far too cold in the winter to be able to sit outside at all.

In the summertime, I think that the backyard during the early evening is really a great place to read. Or really when there is not all that bad outside. There is just something peaceful and tranquil about sitting outside, underneath my apple tree, with a nice book, just sitting back, kicking back and reading. Just surrounded by all of the sounds of nature and just everything. It allows me to go into a world of wonder. Granted in the winter or rainy season it's hard to do that. The bedroom is as good of a place as any, with my door shut and perhaps some relaxing music. Of course, I tend to read at the very least at night before I go to bed. There is just really something about me drifting right off to sleep that I really do in fact enjoy. Just a liberating and enjoyable experience to say the very least. I think that really anywhere is good to read if the book is good, it's just those two places stick out.

I love to read especially newspaper in the morning. I usually read inside my bedroom. I wanted to be in a quiet room when I do that. I also love to read magazines. You learn a lot from reading than watching television.

Yes. I do like to read. But the place where I read should be quiet, silent and calm. No one should come to disturb me when I am reading. Hence I prefer to read in my bedroom. Also I keep the room ventilated. Especially on weekends, after lunch is my favorite time to read. It is very relaxing.

I love to read. And so I could read a book anywhere and not mind at all. When I'm reading a textbook, I could read even if there's noise everywhere. Funny, because is it's a textbook, I need complete silence because just a small amount of noise will distract me.

My favorite reading spot to go to is usually my mom's bedroom since mine is sort of under construction right now. I just finished a book called, "Maggie's Watch," and I would always curl up under the blankets with a reading light and just get lost in the book. I think reading is such a healthy hobby and it definitely helps me when I'm anxious.

While a quiet place is an ideal place to read, I also consider the sufficiency of sunlight or any source of light for that matter. At home, we are fortunate to be living in a quiet community, hence, I am not bothered in reading. What I am concerned about in reading technical books is if I get enough light for the sake of my eyes.
