Which camera should I buy?

I'm a beginner with photography but I want a high quality camera with a manual focus. The manual focus is the only important thing really. That's the only reason I'm buying a new camera. And it would be great if there was an affordable one out there. Does anyone know of any good quality/durability ones?

There is quite a range of high quality cameras. Even point and shoot compact cameras can be very high quality. The manual focus is found in the lenses, not in the camera. Some cheaper lenses are manual focus but most modern lenses have a switch on them to enable you to use manual focus instead of auto. This cannot be done with the point and shoot cameras, so this means you will need a DSLR (Digital Single Lens Reflex). I use a Nikon D80 which you can buy used for around $380. This does not normally include the lens because there are such a variety. The new camera with kit lens may run you around $1000. Most of my lenses are auto focus but can be switched to manual. I have one completely manual focus lens and that is a fisheye lens used for occasional creative photos. You would not want one of those if you are beginning. The kit lenses that come with new camera are usually telephoto, so if you don't have your camera yet, I'd suggest get a DSLR with kit lens. Once you acquire more accessory lenses as you go along, you'll find you'll want something better than the kit lens. Also, once you choose a brand of camera, it is something you will probably stick with once you start to add more lenses. I have five lenses for my Nikon, but if I decided to go over to say, Canon, my lenses would be useless. Upgrading my Nikon camera will mean I can still use the lenses I have.

I hope it is permissible to mention a business, here. I use Adorama for almost all of my camera needs because they are fast and competitive. They have a good selection of used cameras, lenses and other equipment. Please note I am not connected with this company, but am simply a customer who has been pleased with them for the several years I have purchased their goods.

I can just believe in Sony's products. So, I suggest you to go in Sony's showroom and just buy this brand. It's the world's first choice and a trusted brand. I think you will be fully satisfied with this brand.

you can try nikon d3000 nikon sells it around $499 but the thing is you can't review the photographs in your camera... you will need a pc to do it. look it in a bright way... i thought that you like to up grade... did you know that most pro cameras like eos- 1d markII or nikon d3x don't have a review too... nikon sells it with 18-55mm Zoom-NIKKOR VR Image Stabilization Lens.
