Hi I Often see a lot of newbies on mylot who post the discussion against the guidelines. Mistakes which are basic like using personal information in the discussion, affiliate marketing etc. Many would not understand how it works. Should Mylot introduce a video tutorials or a ebook which gives and overview of how mylot works. How about a webinar by Mylot Admin for 1 hr every week, interested users can attend it and make it a worth while. I see all positives on Mylot except the fact that there is a little communication happening between the users and mylot team. Bonding improves if such initiatives are taken Post your views and ideas on how to make mylot a better place

MyLot is a discussion site and in order to respond and/or comment on the discussions we must read the topic and the other responses/comments that it has already received. We should also read the Guidelines and there is no need for a video tutorial. If we have no time and/or patience to read here then we will not get the results which we hope for. Next we will need a video which reads all previous responses/comments too?

Not a video : a voice reading system would be enough. I remember a fun discussion started by a member having a keyboard problem and trying to use a voice recognition software to write here, but he had not a good pronunciation.

Yeah, then someone serving coffee and the pom-pom girls too If we want to get something out of myLot we have to put a bit of effort into it - but some seem not to understand that

If a member does not want to read the Guidelines and the FAQs already provided, I don't think they will be willing to watch the video anyway. Especially when you consider the loading time of the video. I do agree there are rooms for improvements - like the negative rating buttons , which can be easily abused, and has been abused by many. The main thing is, if we all behave, and do what we are supposed to do here to get paid, i.e. discuss, I think it will be alright. After all, we, the members, are what make or break this site.

"we, the members, are what make or break this site." That is something else which many don't realise either. MyLot give us the tools. It is up to us to use them.

Yups, the admins don't interfere when we follow the guidelines. They allow us to have as much fun as we want.

I Agree, admin is very liberal as long as we follow the rules. But a lot of newbies violate rules out of ignorance. We may not conclude that they are abusing. But a lot of spammers around who makes admin life a little miserable.

In the two years I have been here hardly any of my topics/comments/responses have been deleted because of guidelines violations. If I could do it why not others. We don't need anything more than reading guidelines, terms of service and faqs which have enough for anyone here to last a life time.

Since I joined two years ago, I had to contact an admin for a task problem, I used the contact link at the bottom of the page and I got an answer fast... Speaking of communication, a lot of things have improved since a few weeks/months : a PM can be sent directly to GAA without a friend request when a member has a problem with a discussion, and we are now receiving alerts when a work on the server makes it unavailable. Personally, I don't need anything else in the domain of communication. An improvement ? I was speaking of a "task problem" and it is still there -- it is why I do rarely tasks on myLot -- : a task can have indefinitely a "pending" status, and I waited a payment during 6 months. In all other task sites I know, a "pending" task is automatically approved and paid by the system after a week if it has not been approved or rejected before by the employer. It would be a real improvement for the tasks.

I am thinking that if a task is deleted, and the user who created it is removed, then it willbe pending forever.

I don't know what happens when a task is deleted, if it is removed or not from our task list. My problem was not mainly to be paid -- it was a 5 cents task -- but to have it accepted for my success rate. It was only my 4th task, and because of it my success rate was only 75/100 until this task has been approved -- I stopped to do any task when I realized that there was a serious problem here --.

I would love to have videos, that would help a lot. Maybe they should yes, although in the faq and in discussions I learned all that was important in less than one wekk, I think we just have to be curious but either way when a website care to make video tutorials and blogs it's always better. Oh I wish MyLot had at least a blog, that would be sweet towards us. Happy MyLotting!!!

Hello, I must agree with what you have stated. I am a newbie as you put it and definetly feel out of the loop & desperate to find the ins and out's of MyLot. I'm very confused. But I persevere and work in it daily hoping everything will get discovered one way or another. I don't think an hour is necessary by any means but a ten minute video on the benifits of using MyLot would greatly help. Then for those that are here for this reason or that reason they can do another video just for that specific subject. As for me I am here to earn money. I would love a mini video that show's the ways one can use MyLot to earn money. It is important for the MyLot user's and the MyLot staff to weekly communicate. Is there something inplace like a forum where a MyLot user can ask questions and be answered by the staff?

Mylot is user friendly and even a kinder kid is able to understand how this site functions and with the guidelines as a guide, how could anyone not be able to familiarize with this site in a short period. There is no need to pamper newbies as they will eventually learn the working of this site with ease through trail and errors.

While the ideas sound awesome you thought of it could cost a bit and take away from our earnings. We are all new at some point in mylot and if you are going to join this wonderful organization then take the time to read the facts. Unfortunately people get caught up in "I can earn money" and forget to read what its all about. But even me has made a wrong discussion to have it deleted but thats because I thought I had written it correctly and would not get it deleted. So sometimes even when reading the facts you can accidently word a discussion in a way it can get deleted with not intentionally doing it. I say just relax and have fun in mylot and the money we make is actually such a small part to all the friendships and learning we can do here on this wonderful little site.

Hi, I am a newbie here and as being one, I tried to check best discussed topics. There are a lot of nice discussions but sometimes people tend to incorporate personal details on their discussion. some respondents even clearly responded the discussion. I feel like I have found a good place to hangout online, it's about learning with a group of friendly people. If a newbie like me might violates the discussion policy and guidelines then the admin might perhaps email the respondents reminding such violation. Sometimes guidelines were unintentionally forgotten.
