Not taking breakfast for health consideration

I remember one of my friends who always stomach problem if he were taking breakfast.. So he decided to skip breakfast and has different eating pattern than other people..His breakfast usually start at 10.00AM which is almost lunch time for most of people..This against other people thinking that breakfast should be the most important meal for the day..What do you think? what is your preference when breakfast? Do you think he could improve his habit?

I don't take breakfast. i only have coffee in the morning and usually take lunch around 2pm and no dinner also. Most of the time, I only take one meal and day and it is fine. Eating too much is not good. Having good meal is advised to people who do labor works or heavy work since they need it.

wow, you have really incredible way of life..meaning you only eating when you really want to..One meal a day is really less for people like me who easy to starving and always tend to look for snacks..You have good points, if people working hard then he must taking more meal than ordinary people, to balance their calories intake for sure..appreciate your response..

Its not healthy to eat one meal a day. Our metabolism can digest our foods after four hours. So after four hours our stomach are asking for food again. If we don't have intakes what happen is that gas in our intestine builds up and usually its results to ulcer.

hi omchesujche my favorite meal of the day is breakfast with toast hash browns, two eggs over easy and good rich black coffee. it gives me engergy to go the whole day. He should eat this combo then fo lighter on lunch and lighter et on dinner. his tummy should be able to handle potatoes and eggs easily.

Sound delicious. But for health reason eating two eggs a day is very bad for our health because of high cholesterol. I think his friend has ulcer or stomach problem that need to be check and treated. I don't understand why if his friend ate late his friend does not have stomach problem.

I think what your friend need is to see a doctor just to make sure. Just wondering though why if your friend eat 10 am in the morning your friend don't encounter stomach problem anymore? Only if your friend eat earlier than that? Its weird but sometimes every thing can be explain medically. So its better for your friend health reason to go to the doctor.

But i've heard that skip breakfast could lead to many diseases.It's bad for our health.Just believe me,try to eat healthy breakfast,cause it is the most important meal of the day.I think this would definitely help her stomach.

When I don't have any work or errands to do for the day, I can survive without eating breakfast. Or if I'm just staying at home or wake up late in the morning, I usually eat breakfast late too, like your friend around 10AM or even later like 10:30. It's okay to vary on what time to eat for breakfast, most people just eat early because they have to be ready for work. If your friend is not on a hunger strike with that kind of eating pattern and with the kind of foods that he eats for the supposed to be most important meal of the day, then it is alright for as long as he is comfortable with the timing and schedule. Hi Omchesunche, he can either eat something else for breakfast or continue as his current practice. I think some people just cannot eat breakfast at any odd hour. Most of us can eat breakfast when we wake up at 7 or 8 am. But we have problem digesting our food if we were to wake up at 4 am. However, there are some people just fortunate, since they can eat at anytime they want.

There is nothing different with having a different eating pattern as someone ever thought how it should be or how we all should eat. To my opinion that is rediculious since we are all different, our life habits are different, our digestion is different, our whole system is different. Some are at best at night, others at day time, others early in the morning. None of my kids are really able to have breakfast at 7 am, nor am I. My youngest daughter can't eat before 11 am. since the teacher don't like them to take bread with them to school (it has to be fruit) I have to force her to have some bites. 10 am sounds very early for lunch to me that should be at least between 12 and 2pm. The best way to stay healthy and not get fat is to eat when you feel to, not because you have to. I tried it for many times and a good breakfast never made me feel better during the day, be more productive or make me eat less candies or in between during the rest of the day/evening/night.

breakfast - i think every people need to get breakfast before do all their activities.
when we do our activity, we need some energy, and we got the energy from our breakfast.
if we dont get a breakfast, it is gonna be terrible for us.
we cant work well and many thing will be disturbed.
so breakfast is very important thing.
i think your friend got a problem with his stomach. i think he should go to a doctor. for a normal people, breakfast is something really important for doing activities. with the breakfast, we can get enough energy to do all of our activities, i think he should stop his habit and try to consult this problem to doctor. i always take my breakfast before go out for doing my activity. it really help me. if dont get my breakfast, i cant work well. sometime i will get problem if i dont get breakfast. cheers.

When I have work I eat breakfast early in the morning before I take shower. Your friend's breakfast is a bit different from the usual but I do have coffee now that I don't work as soon as I woke up in the morning, sometimes 10AM. I don't eat anything, just coffee. And I will be fine with that. Maybe your friend should consult a doctor if what she's doing is right. Or maybe that is just her body's normal reaction. Most of my officemates before don't take their breakfast at home, it's only me that don't leave home without eating breakfast. They usually have their breakfast at 9 or 9:30AM.

Yes breakfast is an important part of our daily life, but every country has a different view about breakfast and breakfast might not be the most important meal for them. Our body is very unique you know why? when we don't take breakfast for some reason our body well actually not burn any calories at all they will hold on calories(our body alerts our brain that we are actually starving) for the next meal (lunch)if our body doesn't find any it will use the fat and use it for energy this has very bad effects though. We need to eat at least 5 SMALL meal... yes 5 small meals 3 healthy meals(B,L,D) and 2 healthy snack (not junk foods). by any chance does your friend has stomach ulcer?
