indonesian young footbal player in Espanyol

I am proud. I wanted to know if he is Indonesian citizen or not ? If not, my pride is just few level. There is another footballer, he is descendant of the original tribe of Batak from North Sumatra, Indonesia. I forgot his name, but the end of his name, clan name Nainggolan. If I am not mistaken, his name is Radja Nainggolan. He is recruited by Manchester City football club from England.

That's good news. It's not easy for asian players to ply their trade in european leagues. So far only a hatful of players have done so, and they are usually from those football powerhouse such as Iran, Australia, South korea and of course Japan. Other than that, no players from South East Asia has got a chance there in this modern day and time. It's a good exposure for him and i believe he will learn something to apply it to the national team.

Wow!! That is good to know. A few seasons ago, the Indian football captain Baichung Bhutia was selected to play for English Championship Club Bury and it was really big news here. Again last year one more youngster Sunil Chettri was being auditioned for one of the MLS clubs and it was a big thing here. So I can understand how big the news would be in Indonesia if a player has been selected to ply in the La Liga!! Cheers! Ram

Well, I have heard about that..Espanyol hired him under their youth club and maybe he will become one of the star player in the future. One thing really ridiculous about this news is the fact that this Arthur Irawan been rejected on the Under 23 team squad that currently being played in Seagames. So I think whether something wrong with the selection process or there are many more talented players than him,maybe Espanyol need to look our U-23 performance to seek other players if required. Have you ever heard about Radja Nainggolan? He is playing in Serie A and now becomes popular and even AC Milan and Madrid would like to hire him..they said his playing style just like Gennaro Gattuso..
