I used to like watching Banged Up Abroad and it is called Locked up Abroad in North America. It was on normal TV so I could watch it in 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009. Then it got put on cable TV which I don't have. They have it on National Geographic at the moment in England. It is about travelers that have got put in jail for one reason or another. It is often because they have been caught carrying drugs.
Have you ever found a TV program that you really liked then you lost it for one reason or another?
Do you watch things on You Tube?
If so which kinds of things do you like to watch?

I was a follower of "Dark Angel", the TV series with Jessica Alba, raised in a genetical experiment laboratory, and her struggle against the goverment, that created her, and others like her, just to later dispose of them. I remember myself following the argument, and all of a sudden it was cancelled, after two seasons, leaving it unfinished, the end of season two, is when all freaks, are finally going to fight back the evil forces, and it really disapointed me, when they finally suspended the series. I know how awful it is when, a show we like and follow, is moved or suspended, and we miss it.

I have sometimes watched that programme - I always get annoyed with them when they have deliberately done things wrong as think they are so silly to risk a prison sentence for anything they could have avoided but, it is a sacry thought for those who are tricked!

I'v e lost a lot of shows simply because they were cancelled. I hate it when they run an episodic show where the hero is trying to solve a mystery but the show is cancelled before he gets there. Or worse, they know the show is getting cancelled and so they film a lame concluding episode. Besides that I hate when I know an old show I'd like to see reruns of is running on a network I can't get. Then, when I finally get that network, the stop running the show a few weeks later.

I lost many programs and by now I am not really interested in tv anymore.
Before we had Antenne tv but they decided only to broadcast in digital. So you need an internet connection. My tv connection is the same as my internet connection it gets frozen. So if I watch for 1 hour (mostly only 13th street they mostly show detective, criminals, etc) my screen gets frozen about 3 times for at least 11 seconds. It's very annoying but nobody seems to be able to change it and it cost a lot of money these kind of connections.
We had for some time that you could watch on tv or by the internet (special site) shows/films you missed on tv. But by now you have to pay for that as well. Only the news you can still see for free and I am not really interested in that since I can see the news everywhere on the internet or hear it on the radio.
I liked Mr Monk, we also can't buy that on dvd otherwise I would have done that like I did with Dr House, ER, Keeping up Appearances, Black Adder, Mr Bean, etc.

Definitely yes, and it sucks! LOL. I love watching America's Next Top Model and before I can just watch the delayed telecast at ETC, which is a cable-required channel here in our country. I feel like I'm still watching the show live because even though it was aired late, it only takes few hours or so. We changed cable provider that's why ETC channel can no longer be located elsewhere. ANTM is shown in StarWorld though but is shown 2 months after the whole series has been televised! So my last resort is to watch it at YouTube because someone uploads delayed telecast videos wherein I can just save the files on my laptop before the CW Network blocks the vid. ;)

This seems to happen a lot with TV shows..The popularity of a Show in one country gets it picked up or franchised in another country..sometimes with mixed results..."Big Brother" went global,"Red Dwarf" got remade in the US and flopped,We now have the US version of "Top Gear" airing here, the "Airline" series about Easyjet's operations transferred to a US Budget Airline, and is airing here too..maybe the US version of this Show will come back here..? btw, Have you a "Freeview" TV box? You just buy the box and plug it in,no more to pay..about £20,though you can buy more expensive versions that would have a hard drive video recorder built in if you wanted that feature..It offers extra channels not on terrestrial programming that would show programmes like these crimestopper shows, either border and customs control reality shows, speed cops shows, and such...I don't watch much programming on Youtube, but I do use Channel 4's "4OD" and BBC's "iPlayer" to catch up on some shows I'd be interested in..

Often the shows are discontinued because not enough people watch them. I like shows most people don't watch. It's very discouraging. Hadn't thought about watching them on computer much, but I should. Esp. the newest Shirlock Holmes. It was discontinued after 3 shows here, but I liked it and didn't get to see the rest of it. But I could watch it on computer. Thanks and take care.

Cartoons and things I watched as a kid my kids enjoy watching on youtube or on netflix. That seems to be the way to see things anymore w/o having cable or a dish is to watch on youtube or netflix.

I'm pretty sure that this has happened to me. I often wonder if they consult the viewing audience before they change their programming. I hate to sit down and turn to a channel to watch a show that I really like, only to find out that some other undesirable show is in its place.
