Students Learning The Lessons.

We might have heard a quote- “As is the King So are the Subjects”. The children are a reflection of the Parents and the students are the reflection of the Teacher. This attitude may not be scientific but in many aspects we may find some truth in it. The students are made victims for competing against their rivals. The educated parents do care for their children and provide everything to their children to study well. More than the children the Parents have a sense of competency or a sense of jealousy that their child must prevail over the others. In a classroom we see a number of diversity how the children respond. Some are born genius some are acquired genius , some are average and some are an utter failure. Some students listen carefully to the lessons demonstrated by the teacher and outside the class they do not touch the books unless they have their home assignments. Some will study and study repeatedly. Among these some, though they may not have the natural tendency to understand the lessons they have a sharp memory power and they can repeat the lesson like a tape recorder and score highest grades. There are some in spite of learning bye heart, at the right moment they do not remember anything at all. Whatever disposition of the IQ of the children be, but the Parents , teachers and the environment can influence a lot in shaping the life of their children as students. The Home & Environment : The home and the environment have a great influence over the children and in their studies. If the parents love each other and go in accord, the children find a happy disposition to study, help the parents in their work and they come up with balanced character. If the Parents fight, hurt each other and the children of single parents undergo a great trauma in their psyche. They may not speak out but as they go adolescents, we can see the anomaly in their behavior. We can see them too much emotional and leaning to somebody and living like parasites seeking love and recognition. Personality of the Teacher : If the Teacher is a genius head we can be sure that the students will excel and even the dull children will come up. The teachers may agree with me that when the teacher is tranquil in her home and when she has prepared her lessons well and when she teaches with attention, the students learn fast. But if the teacher lives in conflict, when she does not prepares her lessons and teaches with a mechanical mind , most of the children become drowsy in the class and they fail. Extra Curricular Activities : When the school management undertakes a number of extra curricular activities and the teachers are committed to dedicate themselves for the welfare of the children then we prepare good leaders for our society. The currency of leaders today may have the cause that the academic life has not offered them training and did not imbibe in them those values necessary to participate for the upliftment of our society.
