hello my friend..this is promotion time i think...besides komodo issues which is hotter..
let`s use that for promoting our beautiful country..
and if the foreigner ask you 3 best place for travelling in our country, which of 3 of your choice and whats the reason??

1. Wakatobi. Although I have not been there, I had some relatives around that place. And from their description, it is very, very beautiful place. The water is very clean and clear
2. Bromo mountain. It is the best place in Indonesia to see sunrise (in my opinion). And you can get a cultural heritage of Tengger tribe. It is good place to visit.
3. Kelimutu Lake. Just wanna be there. It seems exotics.
And many more places to visit.

iam wakatobi people, Wakatabi is abbreviation from the word of islands : Wanci, Kaledupa, Tomia , Binongko..it`s 4 different island..you must come to Wakatobi island..
wakatobi island is part of SOuth east sulawesi..
bromo is one of the best mountain in indonesia..i do hope someday i can go there...
where is kelimutu lake??

if you want to go to wakatobi, you must take travel from makassar and next to Bau-bau by plane and then continue with the plane too for Wakatobi, or you can go from Makassarr-Kendari-wakatobi, by plane.
but if your money is not much, you can take the boat from Makassar - Bau2, by Pelni boat..and then you can take a boat again from Bau-bau go to Wanci island

Hi, that is great. I want to go there, but it is so difficult to leave the office.
Regarding Kelimutu lake, it is in Flores island. It is 3 color lakes. It seems like mystery why the color differs and changing.

There are many interesting places in Indonesia. I rarely travel. Perhaps the most favored tourist is Bali. I've never been to Bali, but as I know, many tourists are very interested in Bali. Borobudur is also very interesting, and also the Yogyakarta palace.

maybe you must attach some pictures about semarang..if you want to know, i had ever visited Semarang 3 years ago..i like this city, and i had some memories with this city..
but i never go to Lawang Sewu..
i had ever bought Lumpia..it`s delicious..i had ever pray Idul Adha in Tembalang area in 2007

Hi, adhyz, yeah i am busy lately. About the great places in Semarang, you can visit Lawang Sewu or known as the thousand doors, one of the most haunted and spooky buildings. Serviced as function hall in 18th century by the dutch, then changed into tortured camp during japan invasion. and a heroic scene amongst young Indonesians against conquerors.
Lawang Sewu is something nice, the architecture, the stained glass windows and the underground tunnels [and said there was an underground prison] tell so many histories .
You can also visit Tugu Muda with its beautiful park, in front of Lawang Sewu, then Simpang Lima as icon of Semarang. For the religious place, as a moslem, you should visit Masjid Agung, this is one of the biggest mosque in Indonesia. It is very beautiful mosque. I have the picture, if you wish, I can send it to you. Then of course, for culinary, there are available special culinary from Semarang, like: lumpia, bandeng presto, wingko babad and still many other.
There are still many other things about Semarang.

I dont really a traveler my self so i dont really know. But if i must choose three city from Indonesia, the first i will choose Bali. Yeah everyone know about Bali even Bali is famous around the world. So i could say for now Bali is the most famous place in Indonesia eventhough i never go to there. ^_^
The second only based on the city or maybe island i've been before. It is Bangka island. There we can see a beautiful beach, the sand are white and the beach is clean. It is such a wonderfull panorama i had when i first visit there.
The third, well i dont really know what to choose since i rarely go traveling but based on the story of my friends maybe i will choose Yogyakarta. Many people says it is a culture city and it is a pleasure to be there so i really wanted to go there someday.

I live in Palembang, and because palembang doesnt really have place for sightseing so i couldn't reccomending my city. But if you want a good food to eat then my city Palembang have it. As everyone in Indonesia know, Palembang is the original place for Empek-Empek or we can call it Pempek for short. So if the food that you're looking for then i will reccomend my city ^_^

Just come to Tulungagung. it cost very cheap just Rp. 5.500,- by economic train from Surabaya, East Java. there are wonderful place to go, there are Coro Beach that unexplored yet. there are argowilis in wilis mountain. you can feel the fresh air with beautiful panorama on top of mountain. there are delicious food in tulungagung too such as the famous "Ayam Lodho". i'm about 2 months here and feel comfort. just come and try it.

ayam lodho taste like chicken curry. but there are some special taste there. just come to tulungagung because it's our favorite food here. just like gudeg in jogya, we have lodho chicken in tulungagung.

I visited Sumatra in Indonesia when I was 21 years old. I loved seeing the wild orangutans, spending time by Lake Toba, stopping at the Equator and going to Butikingi. If I went back to Indonesia I would go to island hopping making sure In saw Java, the Gilly Islands and Bali. Next door to Bali is Lombok and I have seen some gorgeous photos of it.
In my own country, the United Kingdom I would recommend London, Bath and York. From each place I would suggest some days out. From London it would be Rye, Hastings and cycle the Viking Coast Trail. From Bath it would be Glastonbury, Stone Henge and Avebury Stone Circle. From York it would be Scarborough, Whitby, the Yorkshire Moors and Leeds for Tropical World.

I think for me the best place in the world is my city Bandung many thing can be seen and observe. The others will be the spectacular Raja Ampat in Papua and Gili Trawangan Island.
I love Raja Ampat because the view really spectacular and underwater life is the best, no place like this. Its virgin sea and unexploited one. For Gili Trawangan is great place for having fun and relax. And there usually you seen many people at our age, really great eescape for backpacker and cheap too. You still can life IDR 20.000 for a day and seen sunset and sunrise at one place.

Other than Komodo Island and Bali, i can't think of any other places for tourist to visit. Indonesia is a big country and there should be lots of nice natural landscapes to admire. Batam is a nice area as well because it's near to singapore. The most obvious thing about Indonesia is its currency being small. With that, tourist can easily spend up to millions each day, in your currency, yet it's still peanuts to us.

I always promote my town. I was happy to add that there are three different places that they should suppose to visit Sumatra and It was worth visiting. First place is Bukit Lawang. Bukit Lawang is the largest Orang Utan Rehabilitation in Sumatra. The second one is Berastagi. Berastagi is a hilly town situated northwest of Medan city. Here, we can find fruit and vegetable every year if they visit at the right time and enjoyed parading people who are carrying fruit and vegetables on their head and in traditional suits. The third one as the last place is Samosir Island and Toba Lake. Toba Lake is the largest fresh water lake in the world and it was formed 75000 years ago when Toba erupted and formed huge crater which is now known as Lake Toba or Toba Lake.
