Hello dear fellows... I recently watched a movie.. A nice science fiction, where time is treated as currency. The humans are genetically engineered to stop aging at 25. After 25, their clock starts with certain amount of time on it. Naturally, there are a funny things. The hero (guess its J Timberlake, not sure though) wakes up n walks into the kitchen, where a very young girl is brewing coffee and she looks like his girl friend. And audience start laughing when he says, 'Hey Mom...' LOL... The name of the movie is, 'In Time'.... We get to see people who're 105 years old and tired of being alive, so timing themselves out. The lead actresses's father is 85 n looks younger than her n moreover he's got 10 million years of bank balance... How amazing!!! A coffee is served for 4 min and bus driver asks you to deposit a day for travel. You're paid at your office with time, to live n survive. The backbone of the story is same, the difference between rich n poor. Rich getting richer and poor ones getting poorer. That is the reason, why story holds interest of the viewer. Did you watch this movie??? How did you like it? Is it practically possible? And what'd happen, if it happened??? Please share... Happy Lotting....

Hi Mr.Pearl, Sounds like a very interesting movie. I'll have to add this to my list and check it out for sure. I think that if something like that were a reality, I'd be holding on for dear life but I WOULD hold on.

Hi Sid, yes its a good movie... You should watch it... Hold on to what my friend? When the currency is time, n you need to spend minutes, houes, months and years for food, cloths and shelter; what's you hold onto? You will need to earn more hours and days, only for survival... Please do watch the movie... You'll be amazed... Thanks a lot!

Hi... I guess, I failed to understand something. But in any case, I am glad that I got you interested.. Its real good movie. I guess, it must be playing at your nearest cinema hall, so you don't need to rent it either... Have a good time Sid!

I'm not sure what I meant when I said "hold on" now that you put it that way. You got my curiosity up. I think I'll just have to watch the movie. I love hearing about good movies. I don't have a lot of time for watching movies and I rarely watch tv. When I do rent a movie, nothing burns me more than one that is built up by the previews and is really not that great. People reviews have more often than not led me to watch some great movies that I may have overlooked otherwise.

I haven't seen the movie and part of the premise seems implausible. I don't see how time can be a currency. Extending life is an interesting concept which medicine seems to do every day. However, Robert Heinlein (who wrote the book Starship Troopers which the movie was very loosely based on) explored this ideain a series of books, starting with Methusaleh's Children. In the world he created, there was a rich person in the 1800's who sought out people who had long lived grandparents and great grandparents. He paid such people money if they would marry another such person and then paid them more money for every child they had. This lead to the production of a sub race of humans capable of living for centuries. One of the later books was a bit bizarre because it involved the main character committing incest with his great great grandmother. Ah, science fiction.

Hi... Thanks for sharing! Yes, the film-makers have over come every difficulty in showing time as currency... You really should watch it. They don't really emphasize on extending life span. Most of the movie talks about the struggle of the poor to survive, fights for a few minutes of time, gang called 'minute-men' who keep robbing others... There's plenty... And it is enjoyable...

This is the first time i'm hearing about the movie. Based on what u described here, it seems interesting. I would love to watch it. It's somehow like the movie, Curious case of Benjamin button. This is a unique movie here and i supposed there will be lots of life experience and lessons to be learned in there. I will definitely watch it if there's a chance to do so. AT least it breaks away from the usual genre of movies.

Haha... Yes, there're too many Hindi movies every week, coz Hindi is the native language... And yet, it's got nothing to do with the release of hollywood movies here. If they're ready to release it anytime, so are we... ;-)

Hi Miss... Yes, it is interesting and sticks to reality.. No unexplained phenomenas here... In most of the fictions, we see things which are inexplicable.. But this one's different... :-). Enjoy...

The idea was new. I never heard of something like that before. We all now that time is money but they literally made that in the movie. It was nice, it had good acting, good lines, good story. I really enjoyed watching it. A very good movie in my opinion.
