More or Less

Do you eat more than you need or less than you need. Do you sit down and watch the telly at night for more than 2 hours and find yourself picking at bits of food you don't really need. Is it a snack midmorning when you could wait till lunch or a snack midafternoon after lunch. Are you so busy that once you have left home for work the next meal is when you arrive back home in the evening. Do you find the more you eat the more you want or the less you eat the less you want.

I wouldn't say I engage in eating. I have my usual routine of eating for a long time now which really works for me. I wouldn't eat again after dinner, I usually drink something if I am staying late.

I usually have a total of good 3 meals and only one snack at around 4pm then the rest are juices or fruits in between and Iam ok. I have not gained any weight or lost any weight for the last 4 years. Iam really constant because of my routine of eating.

I do this but not everyday. Too much of anything is bad much more if you do it daily. I make sure that I include fruits or fruit juice in my meal to get a quench of vitamin c my body needs to keep me going. I like eating but I eat moderately. I am not a gluton and If I feel like Im full I stop. Most of us can't recognize the differenc of eating too much and eating enough. We just go on eating and eating. Let us be mindful of our health and live a good life.

It depends if what I am eating is delicious or not, if that is the case I tend to eat more than I need. But i usually eat at least 3 snacks daily since that's what I am used to and I really get hungry ever 2 or 3 hours.. which is why I always have snacks with me when I go out.

I dare not take snacks with me when i go out that would make snacking to easy. If I have to buy something there is a chance that I will go without.

I think I eat more than I should. Also, I get compelled to eat something watching TV. Like if I see a person eating a sandwich, I get compelled to eat it. Really silly on my part.

I grew up being scolded if there were leftovers. Now, even if I feel that I had already eaten enough, when there are still food at the table, I have this feeling that I have to consume everything.

Hi and welcome, it was just after the 2nd world war when I was born and the encouragement to eat what was on my plate was strong. So yes I was told to eat it up and I still don't like to see waste now but it has surprised me how little kids really need to eat. Perhaps this generation might not grow up to be obese as long as there not forced or coerced to eat too much.

I don't do that, may be i am an abnormal whenever food is concerned. One secret i found is that when i eat less, i tend to have less craving for food, it is just weird. It is ture that when you eat more, you tend to want more due to biological or physchological effect that need more research to confirm that relationship, compulsive eating has something to do with a person brain chemistry and biological amino acid level.

Well done lamps you've got it spot on. One other thing is true also is that if your busy and don't have time to eat then you wont get the desire to eat.

I don't have much problem with my diet. I would eat whenever I feel hungry. Sometimes with busy work, I simply skip my lunch, and wait until dinner time. Lately I discovered that I gain some weight. Maybe I should trim it down a bit.

Sometimes i eat more, especially if the food is very good, delicious or very expensive that i don't want to waste it. Sometimes i eat less, because I don't want to vomit, or when i want to lose some weight. I watch the telly and sit down immediately after eating. Usually, i sit in front of the computer. I sit more than 2 hours then. When there is food, i grab some. Most of the time, i forget about food when i'm concentrating on the show or things i see on the computer screen. I eat 5 times a day sometimes. on mid morn and mid afternoon snacks, i eat very little. I wake up late, so i eat brunch by 10 then eat by 1pm. I never skip breakfast, i'd rather be late than collapse midway to school or work. The more i eat, the more i want. I experienced both at some point.
