My husband wants to work in Dubai. I am just wondering what is the minimum salary rate in this country and it is ideal to work in Dubai? What is your opinion?

As enelym said, it depends on that particular company and the work position that your husband have. If he is on the good post then you both are lucky! Dubai is one of the most beautiful countries in whole world, and salary packages are also too good. One of my friend's cousin work's there and had heard that the work and the salary is just amazing in Dubai. All the best!

Well it's not always amazing. As I have also worked there before, and I have known and seen alot of people who suffered so much when some employers abused them by not giving the salary they have worked for. Although not all companies do such thing. If we are lucky we might work there as a saleslady and even have better salary than those who works as a secretary. We cannot really tell unless we have tried to work in one company there.

Oh, I didn't knew that people suffer in the matter of salary. Well, this happens everywhere! It's common. My friend said that if we get job in the top most companies in Dubai, then we are the luckiest! Yeah I do agree with people getting irritated with the delay of salaries.

The salary always depends on what position and the company you're husband will be working with. There are small companies who pays good while there are some who don't. It is still ideal to work in Dubai, my brother and my friends are still working there.

I live in Dubai. Unfortunately the UAE has a complicated method of determining salary. Nationality is the first issue. It is a racist issue to the extreme. The question here is more about can you live comfortably on the income offered. If the answer is yes, congratulations.

One should always consider the salary before taking any offers. I worked there for 4 years until I finally went back home. I'm thinking of going back if the one I was waiting didn't work out. And that is true, nationality is always an issue. They'd give more to them while Asians normally get lesser. But it still depends on which company one joins. Some pays good regardless whether one is Asian or not, depending also on the experiences you have.

I have not worked in Dubai, and in fact I have not been there yet. But, I have been hearing many people saying it is a beautiful city, and a very nice place to work, with many different job opportunities. Best wishes to your husband !
