Seedings for the Euros have been announced!!

The seedings for the draw for the Euros have been announced. Pot 1: Spain, Holland, Poland (Host), Ukraine (Host) Pot 2: Germany, Italy, England, Russia Pot 3: Croatia, Greece, Portugal, Sweden Pot 4: Denmark, France, Czech Republic, Ireland This throws up some interesting group combination that can come for e.g. if a group consists of Spain/Holland, England/Germany, Portugal, France, then that would be the group of death!! What are your views on these groupings and what is the group you want for your team? Cheers! Ram

euro 2012 - I hope EURO 2012 will get succesfull story. i hope there will be a good match, fair play game and many beautiful goals there. maybe in EURO 2012 , there will be many rising star from each country. maybe they will get chance in the EURO. so i think it will be intersting to watch. so dont miss every match in EURO 2012 okay.
wow, i think it is gonna be so interesting too see, how it will go on.. this grouping really interesting and it is balance. I have imagine a group combination that i ant for my team,Ireland. Poland,Russia,Greece,Ireland i think that is the most save group that ireland can get. i just want that ireland can easily continue to knockout phase. moreover, i hope ireland can be the winner. hehehe...

That would really nicely set it up for both Russia and Ireland I think. Do you not want to face France? Some revenge in mind for the World cup qualifier. :) Cheers! Ram

I bet it would be a match that would be very ill tempered. There might even be some cards in the match. But for the sake of justice, I would love to see Ireland knock France out in the knockouts!! Cheers! Ram

Owh you are right Ram... maybe, it will be more interesting to watch and it will give ireland more motivation.. i hope ireland will face france. it will not easy for ireland i think, but i know that ireland will struggle harder to revenge france that win in World cup qualifying that i think not fair. but that is the past, in euro, i know ireland will try the best. cheers.

I have commented on your response to my topic without having read your post, but it seems that the same thing hit your eye, that a terrible group can be made. If a group like that will be made, especially with Spain, Germany, Portugal and France, then it will be a group with 6 finals, so that would be awesome. But I don't think this will happen, it will be a mixture, but anyway one or two highlights will be guaranteed from the group phases also. I cannot wait for this to come. Judging on recent performances, I think Greece and Sweden are the weakest teams, but they are not weak neither. A great championship is a certainty, I believe.

I am also looking forward to this championship. One thing I would have liked to see was a matchup between Ireland and France. It would be a real needle match after how France denied them the world cup with a goal scored with a hand. Cheers! Ram

Usually in life, and especially in football the pay back times comes at one point. So this would be a great game and has 25% for this game to take place. What would you bet on this one? I am guessing that there would be at least one sent off.

I do not know about send offs. But I do know that it could be really an ill-tempered match. I think for the sake of justice Ireland get their victory against France!! Cheers! Ram

My thoughts? I would Love , Love to see the England/ Germany match.The main question is , Can England play up to the level of Germany for 90 minutes?Please tell me about this match when it happens. Over here soccer is an afterthought.

Germany and England are in the same pot. That means they cannot meet in the league stages. They can only meet if they both qualify for the knockout stages. Cheers! Ram

Well, it will be interesting to see the draw result on 2nd desember at Kiev. I also waiting whether Germany will be one group with either Spain or Netherlands since they have placed in different pot. Germany will be away from England and Italy. Like what Loew said Germany is in the top form nowadays after beat Holland recently,previously they also had beaten Brazil and Uruguay,so if the Euro were arranged now most probably they will win it but as we know Euro cup still months from now and the other team will definitely prepare their team properly. However, this time will be Germany Euro and hard for Spain to defends their title.

I think the Euros are still some time away. So I think things can change between now and then. But yes, Germany and Spain are two of the favorites for the Euros. Cheers! Ram

It is wasting when Germany, Italy, England has to be in one pot. I prefer them in separate pot. But it is fair enough, at least I can always wait for a final match between Spain and England. Is it possible?

Actually this was more due to the fact that Poland and Ukraine went into the first pot. As hosts they got directly into the pot 1. So this is the distribution currently. Cheers! Ram

Can someone tell me when the draw is scheduled for determining the Grouping of the teams? I am eagerly awaiting to see who are grouped with Germany, my favourite team.

The draw is scheduled for the first week of December. If I am not wrong it is on the 2nd of December. That is when the groups would be finalized!! Cheers! Ram

Yes, I can confirm that the draws for the group stages of Euro 2012 will be held on 2nd December. I think the broadcast will be followed by more people than many other first division games from the important leagues.
