I don't care how old I am. When I see a bubble wrap I must pop

I can really relate to this message that suddenly came up on my facebook wall. I remember when I was a kid, new things we bought always have a bubble wrap inside. Me and my brothers would have a small fist fight over who should have those bubble wrap. Now I think they don't like it anymore, but I still do pop it whenever I see bubble wraps!

i loved doing it in my school... when in the biology lab for practicals, we would pop a bunch of these just because the newly appointed lady teacher got annoyed by these "pop" sounds. Once I even tried out with a bubble gum just to annoy her

Hi umabharti, yes it does comes on those items. But some big stores are being so stingy now. For glass items they used old newspapers now. While electronic items has those soft plastic things. It's very rare now that I get to have bubble wraps. thesids, I wonder if the teacher sent you to guidance office

I used to be like that. I 'have to' pop a bubble wrap; not anymore, though. After getting into this business, we have rolls and rolls of bubble wrap, and that spoils it now. I still pop them when I go to my mom's house. It is a rare thing in my mom's house, so when I find it, I pop them.

Same goes here, when I see bubble wraps I will pop. Actually that is part of my collection. If from the family someone bought something fragile for sure there are bubble wrap ups and me and my brother will be fight that I always win and have it. If I am busy I do keep it in my cabinet but when I am thinking, I put this out and pop it because I like to think while doing something with my hands. Actually as I am replying to this one, I have one bubble wraps besides me and I will surely pop this up after this.

I do have lots of bubble wraps here. If I could virtually throw it to you, I will throw one. I love it whenever I am thinking, and no single bubble will spare when I pop it. I think age doesn't matter when it comes to bubble wraps popping!

Hahah you're so addicted to it. I don't even have any now. As new electronics/appliances are putting a different one now. Unlike before, whenever we have new gadgets or appliances we will have so much bubble wrap.

I really wish I'm popping some of your wraps! It definitely doesn't matter whatever age we have, unless we already have kids, i think by then we'll just let them do it

I'm 25 and I can't help popping bubble wraps.. I just can't :) If someone is annoyed and looks at me questioning I just make a guilty child face :o My boyfriend thinks it's cute and my mom is as annoyed by it as she was when i was a child. I love it every time. It's one of those very simple things that gives joy and reminds you of your inner child.

I don't have to hide it, I'll just avoid doing it in her house :) In mine I grab my puppy and we jump on the wrap like it's lunatics day :D he loves it too. He jumps on it and when he hears a pop he stops and barks one time. It's crazy and hilarious. I should film it. :)

You're the second who told me they're playing it with their doggies I have even suggested her to film it as well. I'll be waiting for that, I hope you really can find time filming it

I find it cute when adults like us put a guilty child face on. We can do those popping things even others think it's a silly act, we're enjoying it and feel young again. So I really don't care about others too. Just hide it from your mom ramonah

oh dear, even we used to fight over the bubble wrap but the only difference was that i wanted them to stay intact while my brother wanted all of them to pop one after the other. even today when i get a bubble wrap, i move my fingers on them to see if the bubbles are intact or not

reminds me of that pringle's jingle: once you pop, you cant stop! haha popping these things are very therapeutic i think, not to mention that having bubble wrap means you bought something new or unpackaged a gift. so all in all, i associate bubble wraps with lotsa good things ^.^

I think there's a bubble wrap application on iPhone. But yeah it's more fun popping the real wrap! I remember when I was a kid, we don't usually get access to bubble wraps, but there was just this one time when we had one (I can't really recall why) and I was so engrossed by it I never stopped popping. But my mom scold me for doing so coz she still needed to use it Now that I'm older, every time I see a bubble wrap I would never let anyone stop me!

Our moms can really be a kill joy to us when we were kids. They always wants to recycle something they think will be useful even if it they don't really need those wraps yet. And we have no choice but to let them take the bubble wrap away from us.
18 Nov 11
Tiny, rounded stuff are too irresistible not to pop it. Whenever I see a bubble wrap, or anything that resembles that, my hands will start getting itchy and the only thing in my mind will be "I NEED TO POP THESE CUTE LITTLE THINGS..." Happy mylotting!!!

hi enelym This does remind me that it has been a long long time anyone gifted me anything wrapped Though we never had fights between us when we were kids, today I do have some with my 8 year old nephew (my brother's son) every year on his birthday. The fight is mostly not for other gifts but for the one who will be lucky to open up the wraps of the gift that I gave him... and it mostly ends up in getting some good scoldings from my mom

There is nothing like the real thing though. Whenever I get a package I have to cut the bubble wrap in 3 so me and my daughter's can each have a piece. Makes me feel like a kid but I dont mind lol

Yes, I remember in the olden days a long time ago where things used to be packed with bubble wrap. I would enjoy very much the time I would get to pop all the plastic bubbles in the bubble wrap. Now I don't see the bubble wrap anymore because things are packed with foam blocks or foam peanuts. Sometimes I still see bubble wrap and I enjoy popping it because it makes me feel young again.

I can relate!! When I was a kid I won't stop popping those things until there is no more to pop and until now I still can't resist popping bubble wrap whenever I see one. But too bad I seldom see one because most of the companies just used crumpled paper in their packaging.

Yes I also don't see them anymore. Last time I have one of those was 3 years ago and that's a very small bubble wrap used in a small alarm clock that I got free on a money exchange company. Now they're only using either crumpled paper and others are using thermacol sheets (as per umarbhati's comment here)
