are you contented on how your parents treated you as a daughter/son?

Most of the times, parents influence the lives of their children in every aspect that leaves an impression which remains throughout their lives. Parents are even considered the first and best teachers of every child.
Yes. They influence and teaches as well. But there are times that parents seem to be so strict and wanted their children to follow all their commands without asking any questions. They think that everything they want is what's best for their child without even consulting the child if he/she wants it too.
Maybe they were thinking good for their children but I guess they also have to consider how the children feel on the way they treat them.

Yes....very much contented.I wouldn't be who i am today if not beacuse of them!!! It is just but normal for parent & kids to have conflict, that's family relationship. They maybe strict in a way but for some good reasons, they know what is best for us!!!

I am quite contented with how my parents treat me since I can really feel their love, but sometimes they can be overprotective of me.. 
And I cannot seem to live my life to the fullest, maybe they just do that to keep me safe but I do need to be independent someday.

I had good parents, they taught me and my sister common sense which I think is one thing that can get you through life, they never had to spank either of us, they ruled through that common sense, we had a very happy childhood, my mother believed childhood was the best time of a persons life and let us enjoy it, I thank my parents who are now gone for all the knowledge and love they gave me.

I think no parents in the world would like to treat there children badly but they want there childrent to do more good in life than they did.
Only difference is that some parents are good enough to handle their children but some will fail in that. So they don't do anything bad intentionally.

Children's has a lot of likes that mostly parents oppose. When you get old and have your own family to raise then you will understand why your parents so strict and always told you that what they say is the best for you. It is true enough that it is the best because they've been through what you're in, they know how to deal already. You always learn all the basics from your parents. They nurture us from birth until we can stand on our own. My greatest advice to you as a friend (I am a newly mother): Always follow your parents, what you like to do has its own time, always focus on what is right that they've keep telling you. And most of all, honor them as what God commanded us.

I'm happy how my parents raised & treated me for the last 20 years of my life. But I believe there are no perfect parents who exist in this world... Sometimes they just over disciplined us up to the point we feel like choked, in this case we have to voice out our opinions & feelings to them. A little bit of open communication between parents & children would probably help this issue... In my case I always make a try to talk with them as much as possible to clarify things & misunderstanding...
