Warrant of Arrest of GMA, Timing?

Philippines
November 18, 2011 3:00am CST
Hello Lotters, I wonder is this a good timing or bad timing? probably almost bad timing if the Arroyo's have left the country, but I was shocked that She hasn't left yet. I don't know if it's going to affect the TRO given by Corona, but for sure they really did something to have her FINALLY ARRESTED hehehe But i know some might thing the timing is really suspecious. so much for the planned flight to Singapore though. i think they should just import the equipment and specialist to adhere to her condition instead of leaving the country What are you're views?

I heard about it today, friend. Well, in my opinion those families must suffer what they are doing when they are in a position. If she do good when being a president. The problem might not be that way... She is the most corrupt government officials in our era and she must be punish...

Yup! But she deserve punishment because she did many mistakes running the country. She is small but terrible due to rampant corruption in her time. She didn't do any action to stop corruption. His political allies side by side in corrupting the country. No one will bring to justice because all the justices is also corrupt. On her time. There is what they called double standard of justice. If they are not your ally you will be sentence to jail even if no sufficient evidence. But if their allies being suspected to corruption, crimes and other violations of laws being committed they are acquitted... She must repay all those things she does in our country and hope the Aquino government not only after with GMA but also to those allies of GMA...

Hello Aerous Well, I just want her to be accountable for her actions. at least ERAP face his charges and I know those are real ones, but she should face it too since her predecessor face it too for almost a decade. Besides, they're just to be in house or hospital arrest. it's very sad that she destroyed the image of her father's name.

Now they made it a lot easier not to let her out of the country, by issuing the warrant of arrest for GMA. I am just wondering Letran, is her condition very worse now, as she looks on TV when she was trying to go to Singapore the other day? She sure looks so pitiful, or is that just a show , so she will look pitiful indeed. What i do want, is for her to answer for all that she has badly done for the country! She can have her therapy here in the Philippines. We have very good doctors here.

Hello SImplyD, I think it was even more suspecious to me that they made an arrest warrant too QUICK when it should have been months ago, that made wonder. My moms friend told me that it was a replacement braces so maybe she's really not into her worse condition yet. I think it's normal that we show pity but that won't let her get away from her crimes and wrong decisions for allowing corruption to happen. have a nice day

Actually, the president of the Phil. Medical Association was insulted that the Arroyos are insisting that she should have her treatment abroad , when n the doctors here in the Philippines can very well do it. Besides it was also said that her ailment isn't life threatening for her to be in a hurry to go to Singapore for that treatment. Well, i think the warrant was expedited so she can't go out of the country but just face her cases and be treated here.

Hi Letran! In my own opinion, I don't seem to like how everyone's handling the case. It's like they're rushing stuffs. I'm not pretty familiar of the laws being imposed in this country, but I'm pretty sure that there's something wrong here. I don't think that people in authority are consistent with regard to releasing documents, disregarding the essence of the human rights and the like.

Hello Elsemarie, THey did and probably had to because the Supreme granted her a way out and it was a desperate act to prevent her from getting away. I haven't even see the documents yet but it's a desperation and now a battle between the DOJ and Department of Justice. I feel sad seeing a Supposedly Neutral being the last resort of Gma but am glad it was thwarted.

I agree with you, they just have to import equipments and specialists here so CGMA wont fly to other countries just to seek medical assistance where it is obviously an alibi. Nobody believes in her anymore because she had manipulated all of us.

Hello Junmae, I think the doctors were really insulted by her doctors remarks about not having the treatment here in the Philippines. If she didn't do a crime, maybe she could have been allowed with no problem at all. all the stress is on her now, i feel bad for her but a lot more on her victims

If she really planned to escape then she could have than it long time ago and never wait to have this warrant. But it might be good as well that she has been charged finally so that she can defend herself as most of the Filipinos considered here guilty although that would be proven to court. It's always a hearsay if those allegations are not filed and never be proven. To her haters, this will be something to rejoice.

Hello Confusedguy, , I think her ill-ness had some how prevented her from doing so. if she did leave then it would have been easy to set the minds of the people that she is guilty for her crimes. I think we have to try trust the system no matter how slow or surprising fast as it is

Hello LUntian, I agree though she has a very rare condition but I believe if it's for the pursue of Justice the government should shoulder the expense of her medication here, she can't afford to go ABROAD, the risk is just too high. her condition is real but i bet she's really aching to get out while she thinks the public pity her and wants her medical condition prioritize. well, i do want her condition prioritize, in here.

My opinion is the warrant of arrest should have been earlier, but late is better than none. Now Gloria will have no excuse to escape from all the prosecution charges levelled against her. I am not convinced at all and my heart did not melt so easily with all the charade about her illness. Her condition can be treated here and there are specialists that could end her misery but no, she wants to travel in multiple countries. That alone should give anybody enough suspicion that something smells, and the fact that she and her cohorts in SC planned her escape at this time when PNoy is not in the country taking care of businesses for our country's defense and economic betterment.

Hello Greenpeas, I agree with you there. Not sure as how and why it took literally this long and there was a few people that filed the same charge in teh past but only now with the hasten of De Lima that finally have her ex presidencies warrant of arrest.Indeed, she wants to make the attempt while the President is not around and not to mention the Judges in the SC were appointed by her cronies. I am glad that her last Ace didn't work.

Hi Knight, what I'm thinking of right now is how Erap feels watching the whole thing on T.V., it's like what Gloria did to him but this time the roles are reversed. I think timing or no timing, health reasons or not, the big question here is accountability and that's what the whole Filipino people has been waiting for for years, of course she's innocent until proven guilty that's why a trial is necessary along with her alleged cohorts.

Hello Louievill, He said he wish for the good health of the arroyo and he was right that she should be held accountable for her actions.besides, she has been evading us for a very very long time and now is the time to ask due for her transgressions. I hope they finally set the trial for her. Have a nice day.

Hello ckciasigurl, There is a huge chance that she may no go back anymore, any thing can happen out there abroad. look at Ramona, she was able to get out of the country and even out of turkey with out being detected with all of her false statements. i think she needs to answer for her mistakes despite of the other good things she did.
