Shop Small Businesses

There is a marketing campaign to Shop Small this holiday season. It is a reminder to shop small and independent businesses . Has anyone else seen the videos or the ads? They are good!
Big businesses might need our money but small businesses need them as well and maybe more. it is hard to be a small business owner as I am sure many mylotters know. My parents owned a small mom and pop meat market and grocery store in the South End of Boston. They had a tough time.
I do not buy much for the holidays but I do plan to patronize some small businesses this holiday season. I hope other mylotters will buy local in their own communities.

Doing good is good but most small businesses are not going to become big businesses. Probably most small businesses will go out of business if we do not support them.
I am going to eat out at a locally owned restaurant next Saturday. And possibly go to a locally owned thrift store or consignment store. And make a purchase. It does not have to be expensive. If I can not find something for myself. I can find something for someone else. After all, it is the holiday season.

I try to buy close to where I live or work. Sometimes I will shop in other areas because I had business in that area. Time is money.
