Two out of three in rich countries die younger than they should because they eat too much fatty, salty, and sugary food. Now, that won't probably be a problem for them because they are rich and they have money for doctors and medications. But for people who can't afford doctors and medicines, we should watch what we eat because health is wealth.
Do you eat salty, fatty and sugary foods always?

Hello Neelia. I cannot say I eat healthy foods every day. But, I can say that I try to stay away from unhealthy foods. That includes salty, fatty, and sugary foods. Another thing I am very careful about is coconut, and food that has coconut in it, flesh or juice. Coconut aggravates my blood pressure.

That's what I noticed about coconut. And good for you that you try to at least stay away from unhealthy foods. I do that also :)
Thank you for sharing, greenline! Happy mylotting.

I eat a vegan diet. I wish to lose weight and put on weight in pregnancy two years ago. I was very ill after I had my baby girl born. Therefore it hadn't been possible to exercise after her birth. I eat a diet rich in fruit and vegetables. This evening my meal was a glass of cranberry juice, a salad, a grapefruit, strawberries, nuts and salted popcorn. I do like salt on my nuts and popcorn. I don't eat sugary food but fruit contains natural sugar. I don't eat fatty food very often.
In my home country medical treatment is free due to the National Health Scheme. The poorer people get free prescriptions. Having good health is very important to me. I am vegan for ethical and health reasons.

I admire your country for giving medical treatment for free to poor people. Meat and fatty foods are bad for our health especially if eaten always. Thanks for sharing and keep it up :)

Wow, that's great! I wish I could make my daughter eat fruits and vegetables, too. Thank you for the response, Anne!

Hi neelia-lyn,
You are right. To be healthy is the greatest gift of all. Unfortunately, even though I bear this solid truth in my mind, I don't eat a proper meal everyday. Most of the time I hit the fast food outlets. Sometimes I can't even sit down and enjoy a meal, all due to my hectic working schedule.
But on the weekends, I am lucky to enjoy my mothers homemade delicacies. Definitely need to avoid sugar and salt as these are quite hazardous to our well being. A healthy diet will ensure a happy living.

We cannot avoid eating those tempting, delicious but unhealthy fast foods because sometimes they are more convenient or easy to have during busy days. But if we can avoid them, then let's :) Thank you for the response!
