Why do people commit suicide?

Recently one of my neighbor committed suicide.. she was just 15 years old.. so cute and very talkative.. I was really sad for her.. I don't know whatever problem it should be. why do one can think about committing suicide?? There must be some way to stop people doing this..

Really? How sad and the problem also baffles me. Why should a young and cute girl who you say is very talkative do that? I thought it only happens to people who are secretive and who have difficulty expressing their feelings. I cannot understand why a talkative girl will do that. Isn't there any foul play?

It is a mental condition which can be caused by many different things but usually ends up as a form of depression.

Unfortunately, people taking their own lives is becoming quite the epidemic. I honestly don't know why it is that people decide that their lives are not worth living, but the people that end their own lives must have issues going on in their lives that are far deeper than something that people on the outside would be able to see.
When I was in college a friend of mine took his life and didn't leave any kind of a note so no one has ever known why he did it. However, I do know that it hurt all of his friends and family.
