Do you agree that eating is a natural way to ease the depression?

I love eating ice cream. It is my comfort food. Every now and then I use to eat ice cream. If I am depressed and so sad I always eat ice cream. Many of my friends used to have the same similarities I have. But the fun thing about it is that it feels so good and I feel alive again.

I hear many people say it eases the depression.I think it is why lots of people gain weight when they are depressed because they use eating to help them feel better. For me I use working out to help me deal with all kinds of emotions in my life. It is the thing that has helped me deal with so many things and I think it is healthier than using eating to ease the depression. But if it helps you then that's great! Just make sure you don't go for the junk foods way too often and you eat healthy stuff.A bit of icecream every now and then is alright too. Now that you mentioned icecream I feel like having some :P Oh I also use shopping to make me feel better.When I buy a new dress I always feel way way better hehe Happy mylotting! :)

Happy Thanksgiving cacai...I have never heard that eating was a natural way to ease depression...I suffered a mile case of depression after the B Cancer...But during that time I never considered food a quick fix..Maybe my depression is a little deeper than food can ease.... Certains foods hit the spots sometimes especially when I have wanted it' for a while and finally get it...but I still took my pill because I never thought that food that I just ate was the cure for my depression feeling.... If I makes you feel at ease...great...keep eating your ice cream...

Maybe but eating too much sweets can elevate the condition. So be careful before over doing it.

Eating is a natural way to ease the depression, I somewhat agree and disagree because there a lot of natural ways to ward off depression like get into your favorite sports with close friends, relatives and family. Eating on the contrary can ward off depression in a short period of time. If it is your long-term depression, eating is not the solution to ease depression you may intoxicate yourself through eating and eating.
