You can try these steps. 1. Check how many toolbars do you have when you open your browser. 2. Go to control panel and select uninstall programs. Uninstall other toolbars that you dont use. Usually you get additional toolbar when you download games and software. Those are just a reminder for you so you can go back to that page. 3. Uninstall also programs that you seldom use. These are just sitting on your computer waiting for you to open. 4. Delete files, documents, music files, video files and pictures that you no longer need. If you have external hard drive it better to save it there or you can upload those pictures on networking sites and just keep it private. You can also save the documents on your email if you don't have external drives. Or try saving them on drop box by creating an account in dropbox.com. You can even retrieve them using a different computer. 5. Empty your recycle bin. 6. Run your trusted anti-virus to check if your computer was contaminated by virus. Virus can slow your computer. 7. Run Disk Cleanup and remove internet cookies. 8. Run Disk Defragmenter. This will take long depending on the space consumed in your hard drive but will be beneficial since it will compress your disk space. You can also set a schedule for your computer to run disk defragmenter. 9. Restart your computer. Check your computer performance it will be faster than before. 10. If you're done with all of these and you still have slow computer, consider formatting it but it will be risky since you have to reinstall all your softwares and files that you need will be lost if you don't have a back up.

I doubt your computer may be infected by the computer virus. At first you shall run your anti-virus software to scan your computer and check whether there is a computer virus. If it doesn't work, perhaps you have to format your computer and then reinstall your operating system and this is the best method but it is also inconvenient since you have to reinstall your software again. I love China

Go into your Control Panel and to the Remove Programs icon.Remove all the programs that you rarely use or do not use. Depending on what browser you are using, the location of where your cookies and cache are stored.Find where they are at and delete them. Also,go into your pictures and documents to sort them.Delete the ones that are not necessary to keep. Then go to your recycle bin and empty your trash. Then your computer should run faster. Good luck.

In order to run your computer smoothly, you need to do regular maintenance either automatically or manually. If you want your computer to do it automatically then you need to use some softwares like Advanced System Care,Tuneup Utilities,System Mechanic,Glary Utilities...etc...If you want to maintain your computer manually then you can use inbuilt tools like Disk Cleanup,Disk defragmentor.By doing all these things you can run your computer without any problems.Try use updated Antivirus and AntiMalware too.

Have you tried checking the specs of your PC? maybe you should try buying a new one.. if your computer has enough specifications, you can try uninstalling applications that you do not use, and cleaning up your drive C and D to free up memory.

Are you using a windows operating system? Try to defrag your disk using the defragmentation tool of windows and restart your computer after the process, if nothing happened, use a freeware tool like CCleaner to clean your computer's system files. Here's the url www.piriform.com/ccleaner. Also check your computer's memory size, my friend experienced that too, we checked everything and found no errors on programs running, so i checked the system's properties and found out that the memory were reduced from 1Gb to 512Mb. I have to open the cpu and re insert the RAM and it worked again, It maybe that the memory wasn't fully inserted and loosen after a long time.

Hello delicateflower69, I think that it is due to the over using of the memory. You can use memory level in task manager. If the memory graph is touching 100% or 98% it is better to buy a new RAM for your PC. Also close all the current unwanted program, you can see the list in Task manager.

Reboot is the best way to do. that way it will clear the memory lockups that stuck when you use it. it most happens when you leave the computer on lock mode or in screensaver. better set it to sleep or hibernate. another option is to check the task manager. check the largest memory that takes place and end that task. close multiple browsers that is not necessary, in that way it will speed up your memory. don't download toolbars or install application that you are not familiar with, it maybe a malware, spyware or worse cases it might be a virus causing it to slow. lastly, if you have been using your computer for a quite longer than 2 years. you might want to consider re-isntall your operating system. if all things fails, upgrade necessary hardware memory hardisk and processor. these are the factors that make your computer run fast
