Maybe your friend is right. Coffee has acid content, although I think it varies on how it was prepared or whether it's instant or brewed. Some say instant coffee, especially those in sachets, have higher acid levels compared to brewed coffee. You might want to consult your doctor about this. I mean, it might not even be the coffee that gives you stomachaches.

I think you still can drink your coffee in the morning, take something to go aside by it, so drink it while you are having your breakfast. And adding some milk into the coffee might will help to help ease your stomach, that it is better to handle for your stomach that way. If that does not help enough you can skip the coffee for a while and see of you progress, try a mug of tea instead.

Hiiya It does it to alot of people me includd, too much can make you feel really sick also. It is a laxative. While it doesn't affect everyone, it does some of us. Try drinking every 2nd Cup Decaffeinated.

I also experienced that before. I had a stomach ache when I drank coffee in the morning, and I was also not used on drinking one in the morning. I couldn't stop because I really needed one since I always feel sleepy when I'm at work. I think my stomach got used to it. It doesn't ache anymore.

I know this happens to lots of people. Yes,you should just avoid drinking coffee.Maybe you can switch to tea? I am not sure what the reason is though. It can be stomach acid as your friend said. Do you feel the same way from other food/drinks as well or just coffee? If just coffee, stop drinking it. But if you feel this way from other things too maybe you should go see a doctor so you make sure it is not something serious. Happy Mylotting! :)
