How courageous of your brother to do this. How many hours did it take them to traverse that river? Is that the river where Lolong formerly lives? So, i guess there are other crocs there still.

That's a long travel time. The same as our travel time from our province to Manila by bus. But then, i think they are travel so slower that's why it took them that long to travel.

Yes they need to do that because of poor transportation, that river is connected where LOLONG find it, and there are several crocodile peoples found on that river but not as big of LOLONG. They floating almost 8 to 10 hours to rich the town...

I have not tried crossing a long and wide river with with crocodiles on a raft yet but I would love to try, I love the adventure and I'm not afraid of crocodiles, I'm more afraid of armed lawless elements that might be lurking the area especially if it's very remote like bandits and terrorists who might kidnap me for ransom since I have no money to give to them , some people are scarier than wild beasts and animals sometimes you know. Anyway, I hope your place is peaceful and your brother would always be safe. Good luck.

oh yes, and I would presume that that is the Agusan Marsh, very beautiful, my wife is also from Mindanao. Our country is very beautiful everywhere you go, if only our Government can just solve the peace and order situation, I think we would at least be better off and for us local residents, we would enjoy more what God gave us, lawless elements and a few fanatics always spoil our fun or what God intended it to be, God bless you and your family and take care

I have never experience such but if ever I may be afraid. ha ha ha.. YOu are right, floating on the river, yes only in the philippines, and not only river, but many floating crocodiles like those in the political arenas, and abusing agencies, floating criminal cases unresolved, floating politicians, floating corrupts and a floating government. I am sorry , If I ever said all these things because as that you said, this floating entities only vividly remind us of those small people who aspired to have a good life ahead of them through the help from the political side, but, still this small people as taxes are much imposed now for great budgets in many services, why these small community suffer that much, if the governing bodies really do their mission or oaths by faith. I guess it is not an oath for them to fulfill, but an OAT MEAL for them to eat... GReat day

So your brother is floating on the river with lots of crocs? That doesn't even look like a proper boat.. One attack would definitely harm the people, government should make a bridge there instead of beautifying the roads that are already sturdy..

I was born and lived near a river and I once floated on a raft there too, especially during high tides when the bank overflows. I used banana trunks staked together by sharpened round timbers. That was a long time ago, in my childhood. I plan to navigate the entire river once again, this time with a GPS to make ground truth map of the whole inland waterways as part of our Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) on our town and the upcoming Coastal Resource Management Planning (CRMP) as well. It is like revisiting old places with new perceptions.

I find it that way too. You have stay balanced so that you won't fall into the water. This is really some of sort of an adventure. I looking to try it in the future. Have a nice day!
