Does it mean that members who have a lot of post and time doing Mylot are unemployed? When I am busy I have no time to do Mylot but when I have no work, it easy to join this site. Is MyLot a place for people who are not so busy?

Ha-ha, probably :) I've been wondering about that myself but haven't gotten to ask. I mean, I've signed up 3 years ago and I've still haven't reached 1,000 posts. And a lot here have more than 10,000.

I agree with hatley I have a full-time offline job and I am just a member of mylot for just over a month but I already have a user rating of over 500 so it is all about how you really like participating in discussions in mylot. If you really enjoy mylot it doesn't matter if you are employed or unemployed you can find a way to spend time in mylot it's all about time management.

That's great for the both of you :0 I never even thought about being employed or not. It's out of curiosity that I was wondering. It's not a crime to be curious, is it? I was just doing the math and wondering how long it would take to reach those numbers. Like if you have 500 a month, to reach 40,000+ posts, that would take more than 6 years, right?

I have a regular jobn but I managed to reply to up to 25 posdts a day. I've been a memebr for 2 weeks now and I find it enjoyable to talk to people this way. I learned a lot and was able to share a lot too. For me, myLot is a unique way of sharing knowledge that is why I alot time for me to open it every single day since I started.

Its good to know that you are allowed to used internet on your work. Because if I were your boss I will restrict the usage of internet so that my people will concentrate on their respective work.

For me it depend... i worked but i still have time for this just a while... I do mylot if i feel somewhat bored in doing stuff in my work... just to relax from thinking about the projects on work... then after a while if i feel of going back to work then i did... i work 8 hours in front of computer so i have even a little time to divert my attention to relax for a while... but maybe if i'm too busy at work i won't mind to do mylot... :)

Not really, I have a full time job. Sometimes I get very busy in my offline job that I can't come here. But, there are still the not-so-busy days. Thankfully, the site is not blocked at the office, so, I could come here during breaks and during times that the work is lean. It's also helpful for me to use the mylot search engine because I earn rewards. I research at work, so, I use the mylot engine often.

i think most of the employed working members here on myLot is their job work involved with computers and internet connection. and since, one of the advantages of Windows today is to do a multi-task which means: some of us working on E-bay, alt tab myLot alt tab email on yahoo alt tab surfing alt tab back to myLot again while the current surfing page is still processing reading....

I think myLot is a place so people come in the morning and relax or afternoon. Mylot relaxes me a lot, i like having my morning coffee here and participate in myLot discussions, myLot it's like a relaxing place not a money machine for me to rely on to make money on. But the money is a BONUS (;

I don't think so. Some can open mylot from office and they can do mylotting while doing there work also. But of course, people who are at home can do more task and activities here in mylot compared to employed ones.

acweygirl: Members who have made more posts are people committed to mylot. They consider spending time here as more fruitful than in other fields. You are right. When we have other works wherein we get more satisfaction or earning we do that. For example --visiting temple for mental satisfaction--probably while going to temple we give importance for that we do not mind not doing mylot for those hours. Here mental comfort received is more as compared to the earnings etc. For some people they derive more mental comfort when they visit mylot frequently. So they post more responses. People who are highly placed earning $200 or $300 offline --obviously they may not be able to allocate time for this-- excepting a few people who may enjoy sharing information with others. have a good day.

Not necessarily. But I think, those who got more time are the ones who are working online and have a lot of time working from home. MyLot is for everyone, as long as he/she is registered and is connected to the internet. It is just like other things wherein you have to prioritize what you will do. Some do have other things going on in real life that they are not that active in here. But some have nice activity because their situations are leaning towards access to myLot. Like me, I was very active before and I have a regular job that entails me to be busy too. But I can login on myLot every now and then because I have access to it in my office before. Unlike now, I don't have access to the internet in my new line of work so it is equivalent to not being able to login on myLot more often. But I really do believe that myLot is a place for people who wants to learn and earn at the same time online.

Hello averygirl72. Your OP question for the post sounds a bit terse straight & agitated which perhaps was mildly embarrassing for many people going by responses here. You are the best person to set the record straight if you were pretty concerned that while you found it difficult to spend time on myLot you thought many others are doing that quite comfortably. I haven't read all your responses to comments-I admit. To me at least it didn't sound that way at first reading. I read it more as someone reflecting on what it takes to invest more time at myLot. My take is that it takes time and one must be prepared to invest that kind of time whether it is a primary or a subsidiary activity for each. It is quite clear that if I am working in a day job with very demanding schedule, I have to figure out whether I care for the full time job responsibility or give it up in favor of online work or balance between them. Freelancers who are looking to earn from various activities naturally have to spend good time at myLot because this is a good rewarding site where earnings accrue steadily with good posts and higher activity. There are also people past active life that find it stimulating as well as rewarding to invest time and there is no restraint of any kind. All the comments before mine might already have given adequate insights. I just thought I'll anyway share my take on the topic.

yes it could be, but not all of them. me, i am employed, ihave a free time that i can use for mylotting. and i mostly do this when i am not in busy. you are right that mylot a place for people who are not so busy. if you have too much activities and so busy, im sure wou will not be able to keep on mylot, that would be s diificult to follow mylot when you are in busy condition.

I am not active lately, busy doing some offline work. But if you ask me yes I am unemployed, but still earning on my own (sideline). Even if I am busy I still make sure to check the task here or simple response just to earn a little and to notice also by my friends that I am still active in mylot although I am busy.

I don't think it is. I am a super busy woman. I work full time. I go to school full time and I am a mom too. I do have a wonderful b/f that helps me out but I am still very busy sometimes. I have went through periods when I have had a ton of homework or something where I couldn't be here but for the most part I try to visit every evening. It is the time that I wind down..lol. My time.

Its like my saying that I have no time for stitching. The fact of the matter is that I do not like stitching. But I like myLot and therefore I make time for it. Simple. We always make time for something that we like no matter how many things we may have on our plate!

Hello avery! ^_^ I just joined Mylot last month and I am proud that I made this far and that I am still having fun ^_^ I work during the night and when I come home in the morning, Mylot is the first site that I open ^_^ Before, I used to browse blogs and facebook but heck, Mylot is so much better than any of those sites that I visited before. That is why I am very active here ^_^ So I guess it is not about being employed or unemployed. It is how engaged we are on what we are doing. It is like "making time" on something that interests us the most. I am somewhat surprised to find a "lazy" tag on this discussion @_@ Anyway, good day avery! Hope you'll be more active in mylot! See you around girl! ^_^

Just because someone has a lot of posts or appears to be super active doesn't mean they are unemployed! It just means they have a lo of time available to mylot! Some jobs allow internet usage while being on the clock, so to the mylotters who have this priveledge, you are very lucky! I'm currently unemployed and the only reason I'm being supr active right now I because I'm on my Thanksgiving break! I bet a majority of mylotters have jobs and families that require their attentions, but since they're extraordinary people, they still make time to create discussions and reply accordingly.
