Are European woman more passive while American woman more out spoken?

I am not sure on this since I haven't known too many European woman, still oddly enough all of the ones I have known so far do seem to really know there place as the little woman of the house hold. By this I mean they seem to bow down more to arguments and just allow the man to have his way more with how things should or shouldn't be done in there lives. Another question here could be are European men more controlling of there woman and lives then American men are this way too. Since it does seem to me that woman do have the rights to do as they wish within there own homes and may shop,raise children,clean house,dress,and decorate,wear clothes and make up all as they see fit even drink or smoke, go to clubs and parties without there husband with friends. It seems to me that some men who will not allow such lifestyles with there wives really like the idea of a mail order bride shipped over that will wait on them hand and foot like there own personal maid instead of there loved and respected life partner. If men wanted just a maid,nurse,and nanny why didn't they just hire one like this instead of lying and saying they really cared and loved a woman. Maybe, men of America are trying to be more like the envied European men since they really just want a woman they can control more often and cannot handle living with an American woman, who is just too out spoken,opinionated,liberated,strong,willful,and even more independent to pay for and care for her very own needs and wants in this life. This may threaten some men make them feel like they are not really the providers of the household anymore. So they should be with a different kind of person that just needs for more caring and therefore will be more grateful for this and will serve them more as they wish. I know this all sounds super crazy and out dated for today's world, and I don't like it any more than you believe me. Just curious what others here have experienced with this in there own lives now is all. Could there be any truths to any of this at all. Thanks,A.B.
