Is that so? :o I haven't bought any hard disks in last 6 months, so I don't really know about the price.. By the way, I just checked the Kompas Tekno and found an article that Hard Disks' price in Jakarta, Indonesia had been increased for Rp150.000 - Rp400.000! Phew, that harsh! (from http://tekno.kompas.com/read/2011/11/14/10510754/Harga.Hard.Disk.di.Jakarta.Ikut.Naik - article news with Indonesian Language)

No flood out here. People better start buying surplus hard disks or second hand if hard disks are really that expensive in your country. There are lots of hard disks anywhere and I think hard disks keeps on getting cheaper lately.

U are worrying about the wrong things. U should be worried about the increasing prices of rice since Thailand is one of the world's biggest exporter of rice to all countries. With a shortage on their side, there's bound to be increase demand for it, and that's where prices go up. To think that u are thinking about the price of your hard disk when many are suffering from shortage of food? If hard disk is more expensive more, u have to include cars and their spare parts because many of them has factories in Thailand as well.

Our car industry got affected a little. Honda temporarily stopped building some of their vehicles since most of the parts were manufactured in Thailand. I personally felt its effect when I was purchasing a part for my Chevrolet car. It just so happened that the part I needed is also manufactured in Thailand. It's still available here but the price went up.
