I've just been thinking... Is it possible to add a spell checker to myLott? English is not my native language and I use to check my spelling all the time. I'm not a software wizard too, so I wonder can myLot facilitate our writing like Word do it?

I think it has a built-in one. Well, I'm not sure if it's the browser I'm using or it's a facility of this site, but each time I type in a comment, like now, it does underline misspelled words or typo errors. It's not however as deep a vocabulary as I want to, but it's sufficient. I mean, there are words that are perfectly acceptable but it still underlines them. Acceptable contracted words are limited also.

My spell checker doesn't work. I can't understand if I need to download a dictionary. Here is a suggestion from Mozilla: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/british-english-dictionary/ Do I need to add this to Firefox?

I surely could use something like that, since English is not my native language either and I probably make lots of mistakes without even noticing :S

Hi, Pietro! Wow, it works now, my Mozilla spell checker! Your name was the first underlined word since I use this browser. But I had to download a dictionary. If you use Mozilla, here is the page: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/british-english-dictionary/

i think that would be a wonderful idea, maybe Mylot will think about it for a future feature, I think it would be a good thing.

Hi, Lilaclady, it would be nice for all those who don't use browsers with a built-in spell checkers. I've just discovered, thanks to Owlwings and Mike that Mozilla has one and now it's easier to write! Have a good day!

Regarding spell checker, mylot has this feature. If you are referring to grammar...like using WORD..I hope mylot will have that feature...

MyLot has a spell checker? Really? I don't mean grammar, not so much. I want just to see my mistakes get underlined.

Well, you could adjust your browser settings to English! My Mozilla Firefox browser is preset to English and it provides a spell check when I type in text fields like these! It's very convenient for myLotting and typing pretty much anywhere that requires a response! I really do recommend you change your settings, but be very careful because spell check can alter your words, and possibly your overall response! A computer cannot correct language. :P

Yes, Dellessimon, the computer cannot write in your place. I downloaded a dictionary and now the spell checker works.
