I had Comcast at our old house. We supposedly had 8 megs but my downloads were never faster than 100kbps and sometimes the Internet connection was at a standstill even with no spyware or anything like that.
Now here at my new house I am using hargray for the first time today. It too is a cable broadband connection but supposedly only 3 megs. I just tried downloading a torrent and my speeds were between 300-500kbps! W00t! It took 10 minutes to download a House episode.
BTW I am in SC - I had never heard of Hargray before I moved here.

I haven't heard of Hargray before. We have comcast or roadrunner in this area. Thanks for commenting.

Yes i did have the cable service. It was much faster. I will be watching for a special on it. The regular price is $50 a month.
