Holidays are coming, no mater Christmas, Yule, Hanukkah or just New Year is time for sending cards. I prefer e-cards. I used this site because help on animals and have fabulous e-cards http://www.care2.com/send/catxmas1.html . This year planned to make also unique and personalized cards to my family, using my scrapbook program. But I have one friend who think that e-cards are to formal and impersonal, so she prefer paper cards. That worries me is that traveling and paper are not many eco friendly. So, Do you send cards? What kind? And when? Usually I send e-cards, 2-3 days before holiday.

I like ecards, but the problem is they wind up in email spam or junk files. I got tired of waiting for some of my reletives and friends to acknowlege the ecards I sent them. And you're right, some people don't like ecards, they prefer paper cards. I like Care2.com, that's a great site.

Spam definitely is problem, but most people in my list already received news from Care2. Another problem is that is possible to receive same card from two people. :)

I think you should send paper cards. Your friend maybe right e cards are kind of formal I never heard of them and if I got one its not like a real christmas card I would probably just write back thankyou and forget about it. Its good that you are thinking about this early though unlike me because I buy cards and presents all on christmas eve, I know im terrible with holiday preperation.

I also would like to send real cards , but i think it takes too long in the mail because it's the Christmas season. So, i would just send those e-card instead again. I make the dedications all from my heart !

I use to send e-cards because they bring music, you can choose the music you one from a list, you can choose the e-card from a ton of them, and I can type and don't have write because my handwriting is ugly. The bad part is that sometimes because the ecard have to redirected, the people to go to the site and don't the chance to see the card.

I rarely send cards during special occasions, but when I do I make it a point that I do it by myself. I want it personal with the touch of love and feelings.

I still send them and they are handmade. I love making cards so Christmas is a special time to put special effort into them. I also do craft sales so I have sold a few already this year. I think ecards are okay but I prefer to hold one in my hand.

I've just gotten to where I don't send either. Years ago I kept a Christmas card list and sent cards out faithfully. Most of those on the list weren't sending back so I quit. E-cards are rather impersonal but better than nothing I suppose.

I still send paper cards. There is something about getting stuff in the mail, and not just another email. I have already sent out the first batch, I will get the rest sent out next weekend. I send them to family and friends. I will hand them out to my co workers as well. A few years ago, when I had time, I made my own christmas cards. This is also a good boost to the local economy and helps the postal system make some money.
