I just realized that smartphones have all features that we never thinking about couple years ago. They have sophisticated camera, fast browser, chatting facility,games..everything besides for its main function to calling and texting only. I observed that I maybe utilize 80% of my blackberry phones for chatting through its blackberry messenger, play with facebook/twitter application or browsing rather than calling or texting. So my battery usually drain down not because of calling..I have another cell phone for call and texting purposes, using CDMA network which is less expensive cost...How about you? Do you also manage your smartphone the same way? What is the future of cellphones then?

The trouble with smart phones is they need a smart person to work it all out, I still have my little flip phone and I don't even know how to work some of the features on that, and the whole thing with the internet on the phone completely confuses me...

Well, appreciate your fast response..You are right, sometimes hard to learn for first time. I prefer to ask everything from the shop keeper or my friends who also own same phone rather than learn all by myself through its manual book..

I have an IPhone and to be perfectly honest I don't know how I ever lived without it. I use it for everything. There really is an app for just about everything from keeping your shopping list to setting up appts. such as a doctor or dentist appt. As for the future of cell phones I see them slowly being replaced by smartphones such as the IPhone or a Blackberry.

I bought my first smartphone a few months ago and I am also amazed with the amount of different functions! Smartphones are like mini computers and you can use them for everything. The battery life is a disadvantage but I usually charge it closed and the durability is slightly higher. I utilize maybe 60% of the phone possibilities and the main use is for calling, e-mails, GPS, web and taking photos. I also have downloaded some very useful apps that I use regularly.
