Something Strange in the Evening Sky

It was in the late summer of the 1990’s when I looked up at the evening sky and notice this big bright shining star or planet in the west. Then, all of the sudden this military jet comes racing toward this star or planet. I thought nothing of it and just dismiss the whole thing. A few days later I decided to look up in the same direction about the same time this event had happen before, and sure enough there it was the bright shining star or planet, shining brightly as before. But this time there was no military jet flying toward the star/planet. So, again I thought nothing of it. However,on the next day this star /planet appeared again, but this time the military jet was fast approaching the bright star/planet. This time something happen, the star/planet become more visible and to my amazement it was rotating it was a spinning object. Now I could make out clearly what it was. It was a satellite spinning in its orbit. A few minutes later the satellite disappeared into thin air. Imagine that just a satellite. My reasoning is that the satellite fell from it's original orbit and the military jet was transmitting instructions to the satellite to get it back into it's proper orbit. I knew that the bright shining light was unusual and by me paying attention to it the mystery was solved.
