A HOUSE is NOT a HOME.

For me a house is not a home. House is the structure, the building itself with its decorations and fully furnish but there is no family in there. Home for me is the house where there is a family (father, mother, children). Whatever the construction of the house, the most important is the people who live there, that there should be comfort, understanding, peace and love.

I agree with you. I guess that's why they say it as "it's good to be back home" and not " it's good to be back at the house" (which for me sounds pretty lame). My home wouldn't be complete if my family wouldn't be there. That's why i look forward every time i come back home after months of work abroad.

Greatly said. I just realized that there's difference between word "Home" and "House" :). That's why it's "Home sweet home" and not "House sweet house"..

I agree. A house is not a home without people living with love and peace. Eventhough a house has people inside, when there is no love- still it's not a home.

I totally agree with you. It is a home when every family member is there. But I think you fail to include the importance of having love, respect and happiness within this house. Then only it will be called a home. If they are complete but everyone keeps fighting, being greedy and don't really have any concern and love for their family, it still cannot be considered a home even when they all are living there together.
