It would be hard to be abroad and you should be really prepared and determined if you wanted to go. It is a good opportunity though in terms with experiences and finances and it is better to leave while you are still single. Just make sure that you will have workmates that are also from your country. If you have relatives or friends in the country you wish to work for then it would be much better.

Me and my husband are also thinking of going abroad, like you our reason is to earn more. But we have more things to consider compared to you especially since we a have a baby. We wanted to be with our baby every step of the way but we also want to ensure that he will have a good future. I think only one of us should go. And we also considering how far the country we will wort at is from the Philippines. We want someplace close so that going back home several times a year is possible.

Thank you brew2x. I appreciate your advice. If given a chance to know what's my luck in abroad then if its positive, then i will go there for sure. But you know there are so many question at the back of my head and think negative things. I'm just thinking about to earn more, but i didnt think about the people around me in the working place. It's good to have a same race to work with and im looking forward to it...:)

If you have a good paying job here I don't think there is a need to go and work in another country. It is better to stay with the family. But if your salary is not even enough to feed your family or for your kids' studies - then it would be better to secure a job first before deciding to travel and work in another country.

If there's a sure opportunity waiting for you, then go and take it. It's really hard to find a decent and good paying job here nowadays. It might take a longer time before we can say that we are happy with the job here. But working outside the country with a good compensation will be better than still waiting for local opportunities here that seems so hard to find.

Nurses are highly sought after so you should not have a problem finding a well paid nursing job in the Middle East. These days it is easy to stay in contact with family members using the email on the Internet, mobile phones and cheap land line phone calls. It is wise for you to gain employment and get a good reference from that job. Living and working overseas could be fun for you. When I was 20 years old I let my cottage out, got a working holiday visa for Australia and bought an airline ticket around the world. I traveled for just over one year. In those days I used letters and expensive phone calls considering the time difference before calling. I had a fantastic adventure and it changed the course of my life. I decided to begin teacher training on my return to my home country.

Thank you for sharing maximax. Good for you that you travel around the world, but i'm not that rich to travel anywhere that's why I like to find a job and have a work to earn a living for myself and for my family. You are very lucky because not all people have the opportunity to travel. :)

Depending on the line of profession you are specializing on, there can be good job opportunities overseas too. If you get a good job abroad, you can make some good earnings and support your family at home too, right ? Well, this is just a thought.

Thank you greenline. I'm looking forward to get a good job abroad. Yes, your right! I know this is a though decision to make but i want to take a risk just to have a job there compared here in the philippines it's very difficult to find a job and a very low paid salary.

I think if there is a good opportunity, then you should travel. Nursing profession here in the Philippines is poorly paid. You cannot blame our nurses going out considering that the chances of getting a high paying job is so slim. Well there are some disadvantages especially that you will be leaving your family and that is something that you have to adjust with. But nevertheless, with the advent of technology, it is quite easy to communicate with them constantly and lessen the feeling of being alone. But if ever you can find a great job here, then stay, be with your family and enjoy life at the comfort of your home and with the presence of your love ones all the time.

Hi there sir, Thank you for the advise. Yes sir! you're definitely right. I really want to go abroad, but there's something at the back of my mind telling me what will happen if i go there?, Are there consequences?, Is it right to leave the country?, Am I ready to work?... but still as we grow, we are not dependent to our parents that;s why i want to go abroad and earn more to support my family but i have to take the risk. God only knows about what He wanted us to become in life...:)

Thank you aicragtrebor. It's a tough situation you have there but still you decide to leave your family just to go abroad. You're quite a though guy. You can say that there is money in the philippines. Yes there is i believe as you said to work hard, etc. But I'm a beginner and just graduated nursing and you know there are a lot of nurses in the country, and its difficult to find a job here. So i decided to work abroad and earn more compared here.

What makes you think that traveling abroad can earn you more money? what do you plan to work as? who is going to take care of your family if you are not there? if you have siblings, then maybe going abroad to work may not be a bad idea, otherwise, you should think twice about it.
