Oh man! That's not good at all. I hate it when people are made to work on Thanksgiving and Christmas. It's just horrible! Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter and the only 3 days a year that my husband will actually take off work.

Welcome to myLot selasosirc18! My husband and I will be going to my in-laws house with our son. We will be spending the Christmas eve there and exchange gifts, play games, drink and eat. It's the season of getting fat. Well, there will be a lot of food for sure. This is the first time that I will be spending my Chirstmas with my family after quiet a long time because of work. Advance Merry Christmas to you and Happy New Year!

I pretty much plan on just spending Christmas with family. I don't really have any other plans. Just spend a quiet, relaxing day with family. That's really how I spend Christmas every year.

I am hoping to make my kids day great, see some family and not worry over it not being in our home or even being able to go home yet.

hi ard I agree with you, we should remember that the most important thing to do in the Christmas day is remembering that it is the day Jesus was Born.

I'll actually be getting three "Christmases" this year. In the past years, I've had to work on those days, or we really needed the money from me working those days. However, this year, due to having to work around my mom's schedule so she could watch my kids while we were both at work, I'll actually be able to go to Christmas. On the Sunday before Christmas, I'll be at my In-Laws. Christmas Day will be spent with my Mom's family with maybe a little bit of Christmas with my Dad's. The actual Christmas with my Dad's family will be on New Years Day. I'm not sure why it's that day, but they want to make sure that everyone's able to come for Christmas.

Hi selasorsic and welcome to myLot! I plan on starting a new tradition this year at Christmas. Every Christmas Eve we let the kids open up 1 present to play with and stuff, and that will stay the same. This year, on Christmas morning, BEFORE opening presents I'm going to read the story of the birth of Christ to them. This is going to be the new tradition. After reading the story, then we'll open presents and stuff. I'll cook a ham or something simple for lunch and we'll just sit around playing games and having family time!
