is ice skating like rollerblading?

Rollerblading is rolling down a hill and screaming get out of the way cause I never read the part about how to get stopped. Ice skating is sitting on the cold ice crying my be hind is so sore can someone help me up.

The movements have some similarities such as both develops balance. when you are good in roller blades you will likely learn the balance that is also needed in ice skating. But you must understand that they have different flat form - roller blades have rollers or wheels but ice skates have thin blades. With your balance knowledge on rollers, a few practice on the ice will surely be a-okay.
