HTML Sortie??

I copied and pasted into the HTML Sortie box the HTML entrees for my web site and my social networking sites. The instructions said specifically "Settings will not take place until you close edit". I cannot see any where in the edit box anything that says "close edit". Can some one explain to me where it is or what I did wrong?
