Carling cup semi finals

The draw is out. Man City vs Liverpool and Crystal Palace vs Cardiff. The Man City should be a cracker of a game. Man City would love to win it to continue their FA Cup victory last season. As do Liverpool who had not won anything since their FA Cup victory in 2006. The draw has ensure that there will be a team from the lower league. This will be massive for both Crystal Palace and Cardiff. I am guessing a Liverpool vs Cardiff final. From a neutral fan point of view, I would love to see Cardiff winning it. That will be the ultimate footballing romance. But realistically, Liverpool should land the trophy.

I think man city has already got one hand in fa cup trophy looking at their recent form,they have been dominating English clubs but hadn't found much luck in champions league so far.So i guess the winner from Liverpool and man city match will win the trophy because both liverpool and man city takes fa cup trophy seriously and if they reach final then they wouldn't slip up to championship playing sides

Hi Kapil, This is Carling Cup and not FA Cup. The FA cup proper rounds will begin a bit later for the bigger teams. But yes both Man City and Liverpool would take the Carling Cup seriously as well. Cheers! Ram

well cardiff and Crystal palace maybe had a chance for playing in european club next season..it was their biggest achievement for them this season

Wow!! that is a good draw. Both the premiership teams though would not have liked it. I am happy to see one of the lower teams would make the finals. I go with your pick as I also pick it to be Liverpool vs. Cardiff in the final. Though I think Liverpool would lift the first title under Kenny Dalglish's second term. Cheers! Ram
