Have you received wonderful life from Jesus? Then share that wonderful life with others. Who knows, you may be an instrument for that person that needed a helping hand. Just a thought to share for this moment... :-)

I have received a wonderful life from God. At times I do experience a lot of trials and tribulations but compared to others my life is good. I also try to help others and assist them where I can. It is the kind and right thing to do.

I think that helping comes in all shapes and sizes, and some of the things that you do for people you might not even realise that you're helping them at that point. I often help elderly people holding their bags on public transport and, while they might not be helpless as such, I think that it really does help them when they might not have the same level of energy that other people have. I picked up some shopping for an elderly lady the other day, and I have to say that I really did feel as though I was helping her at the time.

No I have not. I would lie if I would say yes.
I also don't believe that only those who believe are great people. Most of them ar full of hate, willing to fight holy wars and kill everyone who is not believing exacttly the same.
Those who are kind to helpless people are seldom the believers/christians but those who don't believe.
Then there is only 1 question left over: how do you know those people are helpless? Begging, scamming, playing the helpless or homeless seems to be a way to make a great income (which is abusing others, the ones who are helpfull, attentive and full of love).

There can not be too much of that! What you are sharing is something that is precious and a spirit that is worth more than gold, diamonds or silver. It is a spirit of giving but also something more if I am allowed to express. I struggled with the following question for a long long time.
It is better to give than receive. Why?
Seems to me the more we get the better we will be. It seemed logical to me. Though it might be nice to give why is it better? Like a doubting Thomas, I just had to know, to see, to understand. I saw giving in action and doing wonderful things not only for the receiver but for the giver as well.
I see this happening in relationships, families, business, social work, everywhere. No person that tries to be miserable, uncaring, hoarding, greedy finds success or happiness. It is true, to give is better.
I'm grateful to be able read - thank you for this thought mel because it is beautiful.
