Is it my impression or the LOL expression is finally dying?

I don't hear it almost in the internet. The people who most use it now must be League of Legends (LoL) players and im so happy like i even had a friend that almost never laughed, instead he was always saying lol and i was like "IS HE A ROBOT?! OR WHAT?". Well im not from America, where that expression came out so maybe it is still alot used or probably not. Tell me what you think about it, and how it affected your lifes ^^

I used to hear from my friends and classmates the expression LOL or Laughing Out Loud. That is in for today. I don't think it is dying. Maybe there are already a lot of like that in our vocabulary. Still it is very common to us.

I've never actually had used that expression. I just put a laughing emoticon, and even that I use sparingly. Maybe I don't tell a lot of funny things :) But I had noticed that seldom of my friends and colleagues use that also. Usually it's my foreigner-friends who do.

I used LOL as Lots Of Love or quite a long time until someone corrected me, I hate to think of some of the serious conversations I used that for, people must have thought I was a weird person.
