what is the advantage of adding picture to our profile compare with out adding?

Yes. Your observation is ok. However we have to see that in the case of female the photos should be in the hands of good people for obvious reasons. Of course mylot members are all good only.

a real photo carries a lot of weight. But initally i was hesitating to load since it is to be used carefully. good day.

Upload a photo of oneself to one's profile make others know better of this person. Of course, some others choose to add an avatar instead of real photos, it is understandable. In fact, i think even the avatar can show something of the person. As for me, i like to add an avatar instead of my real photo to the profile.

I thinking adding photo to your profile would help other members get to know you more. They can imagine the person they are talking to, or they can imagine what the other person looks like while they are answering their discussions.
Sometimes, I don’t look at the name already when I already know the avatar of the member. Just by looking at the avatar, I already know who the author is. Adding photo, would make you easily known too, because if the avatar just look like every body else, it would be hard to notice you or to know you.

Our photo will bring us nearer to our mylot members. I tried many times. I could not load my photo. I went to preferences-and loaded the photo. it was not getting through.
Now people have started recognising me with Happy avatar-- that also is not seen in a few places .
Incidentally notifications are not received for the last few hours. What about you?

For me having a photo in your profile adds to your personality. If you are using your own photo, it puts a face to a name and when people respond to your discussion, i think they tend to also get to know you more.
For me, i am more willing to respond to discussions by users with profiles, somehow i think they are here inmylot for good, and they are just not here randomly only to not respond or participate anymore because they took time to register and put a face to the name :D
